opening a charity organization, need funding?

I am interested in opening up a charity organization in the Tampa Bay area (florida)
    I need the funding.
I have always been all about helping people, but usually it comes without pay so its hard to make a living out of it.

I have several ideas and I'm also willing to take ideas from the person or people willing to fund this business.

I already have a company who can do my banners, signs, lettering or any of that stuff.
I already have that paid for.
    Any suggestions, ideas or advice?
    Thank you in advance!

If you're going for Non-profit status look for Grant monies from the government. It doesn't sound as though you've established the 503c or 501c position as of yet. Once you get gov't approval it will be easier to market for public funds as well being (most) donations are tax deductible to the donor. Many of the companies I have dealt with in the past offered discounted rates on their advertising for non-profits as well. There are many perks but you need to get established before you proceed. I suggest seeking pro help in forming a business before you seek money from anyone.

    Good luck!

Make a business plan, charities, what amount of money you need, do not say I need some money, cause we are not donating we are funding. So we need to know a specific amount, and what will you do with the money, etc

Just have everything ready before you actually ask for donations and sponsors

You don't need a lot of funding to initially get a non-profit going. You can raise money through fundraisers. I've been doing a lot of non-profit work lately so PM me if you want to kick some ideas around.

    National Charity?

Would you be operating in just Florida, or nationally?
