Exclamation New Company

I have recently started a new computer services business. I am trying to find ways to advertise locally. I have advertised in the local paper, craigslist, and on ebays classifieds. If anyone has any ideas please post.

Thanks

Ya but do you think that it would make that much of a turn out? For all of the expenses of the commercial, also, what would be a good time to run it?

You need to read "Guerrilla Marketing" by Jay Conrad Levinson. I just bought it and it sounds like it could help you. It is a great book with literally hundreds of suggestions and ideas for the small business owner. Good luck.

Here are some suggestions:

Big advertising on a Small Budget « Ramblings of an Entrepreneur
Big Advertising Ideas on a Small Budget - Part II « Ramblings of an Entrepreneur

Based on what you have tried, you may want to consider tv advertising. Read towards the end of the first link I posted for some good suggestions.

Thanks, they both look like great suggestions, I am going to try and find that book today. I'll tell you guys how it goes. Anyone else have any ideas, with my business I pray for people to call and need computer help, its getting to the point where I think I am advertising the wrong phone number. ;(

Where are you and your business located? Are you in a large city? Near a large University campus? What services do you specifically offer? Maybe a little more background would be useful.

Also, if you don't want to buy the guerrilla marketing book, you can always find it at your local library. Josh also makes good points in his articles.

Hey I went out and bought that book you told me about, it looks great. My business is located in Bakersfield, CA. It is a pretty big city, outside of LA we provide tech support to computers, remote and in house support.

Great. Hopefully it will help you. It is chock full of good advice and ideas. I know Bakersfield, I grew up in LA and we had some good family friends who moved to Bakersfield. I wish you all the luck! Keep us posted.
