If you are going to be serious about running a business you need to get serious now. Answers like that will lead to the quick dissaperance of your $50K. Make a list of your hobbies and then brainstorm how you can start a business off one of those.

I'm sure you'll find all kinds of people who will be happy to spend your money for you. You have to ask yourself if you are really looking to start a business or if you are simply looking to invest your money in someone elses business. Once you have made that decision commit to it and get to work.

well roger.

first i appriciate your opinion but......

my hobbies will not do the trick at the moment this is why i asked you guys if you had $ 50k what would YOU do and maybe i will get a nice idea from one of you guys.

i did brainstorm and came with few very nice ideas that need more money or time.

at the moment i budget myself to $50k

and i am really looking to an idea that will be efficiant , quick to raise , and economic smart.

i am looking to get around the 6k to 10k profit at the first months from what ever i am going to open so i will do my home work ant what ever i would like but i will really appriciate some ideas.

you sound like someone i would like to hear one of your ideas.

thanks

Obviously you are not really serious about this venture.

1. Starting with something you like and know a lot about is very important in being successful.

2. You will need to make the time. Being a business owner is very time consuming. This may include working 7 days a week and many hours.

3. Don't expect to make a profit or even break even in the first month. Many business take months and even years to become profitable. Success requires patience. I'm not trying to be a pessismist by saying this, it's a fact.

Make sure you do plenty of research about owning a business so you don't get in over your head, or even worse, lose all of the money.

Good Luck!

invest into something within the internet. Look for people needing funding for internet startup. I know of a guy whose starting something up in the lines of a "pirate bay" its going to take a couple of months to build and market.

It would be good to start with realistic expectations. Don't count on netting $6-$10k a month within a few months, for one. But that isn't the end of the world. There are lots of business you can start for under $1000, which will cash flow almost immediately, and by the time you have run through the $50k in savings (assuming you have a $6k/month burn rate) you could be up to that in net income from the business.

These would be service type businesses- house painting, landscaping, pool cleaning, house cleaning, commercial janitorial businesses, etc. You can also do it with certain skills, such as accounting, web design, etc. There is lots of competition so you have to differentiate yourself and market like a madman, but it is certainly doable.

But it will require lots of time and hard work and reinvesting in the business and it won't necessarily be a glamorous type of job. You can further improve your chances by lowering your personal burn rate.

If you just want to plop your money into something easy and make a fast killing with hardly any work- well- good luck.

You could invest in stocks. Sure, the economy's bad but it isn't as bad out there in the market as people think it is. There are still good trades.

**Keep in mind that this is just my opinion and you should consult your own financial advisor to confirm that stocks are the right move for you.**

indoor skatepark/gaming center but I am biased. Seriously though, these two demographics are ridiculously popular and have a revolving door of clientelle that spends a lot of money. Their parents money, but it's still a lot.

MTV is fueling the fire at an unprecedented rate.
