So 3/25/09 is the day? I'll save it. I was just trying to elaborate on your point man, no offense. What if the market is still in decline on your day of reckoning, should he still invest then ONE year from now?
My advice is gauge the market according to comps and demographics, not set concrete dates.

Hope you have carrying costs to get you through until other people show up to the party.
Why would you tell me to lighten up? You told me I didn't read your post correctly, but I did, and it was bad advice both times I read it, so why would I not respond?
P.S. lighten up, go remove some junk.

Nothing comes easy. To think you will have a viable, well managed, well thought out and legal/financially sound start up in less than a month without having the time or knowledge to do so is basically ignorant. This site is full of hard working, intelligent, patient and passionate entrepreneurs that take months, even YEARS to carefully develop winning strategies and business plans that will ensure their money and time are invested for the right reasons in what they know will prosper.
Keep the money in a money market or mutual funds...take some time to really think this through, pick up a book on business 101...learn a bit..and then come back.

No one's going to give you an idea. If they did that the business would surely fail because it could be something you're not passionate about. The way I see it is like this, if you come up with a business idea on your own that deals with something you LOVE doing, then you're far greater to succeed because it's something you're passionate about and are willing to lost social life over it to make it succeed. Also, no one's going to give you an idea for free, pay me a good amount and I'll come up with an idea, write the plan, etc and know all about it while you just sit there all clean and reak the benefits.
Stop being lazy you ass.

Wow, I haven't posted in a month or so, and this one definitely warranted a post... lol. You want "US" to give "YOU" an idea to make money? Well, this is a 'helping' site, but if I knew the trick make money quickly - I would be in Aruba on my MacBook typing this. No, no.. I'm in my home office near Lexington instead. lol.
You came here for a reason... to see what Young Entrep.'s are doing. Well, we're not tossing ideas to just any old soul out there. Like others have said - think, work, build, try, repeat. If you already have a "successful" business like you stated - why are you asking us for ideas? Why will I give you my great idea which I'm launching with a business partner, so you can break this thing wide open?
That doesnt make sense. Neither does "idea searching". You need to find it yourself. Don't mean to be harsh - but that's gotta be the one most aggravating thing for anyone to ask another Entrep. -- "What is YOUR great idea, so "I" can cash in?" Gimme a break.

Fanatik has it right on the money. You've got to figure out what type of business you want to run (Sector, Online/Offline, Hours, Skills, etc.) And then come up with the idea, then try and figure out if the idea is marketable or not, and then give'r!
