Exclamation Just Started and need advice!!!!

    Hi,
My husband and I just open our auto body shop repairs. I wanted to able to have contacts with insurance companies regarding sending their customers to our place. I sign up with glassmatix a system software that insurance companies use and I made a few phone calls to some of them but they always tell me that it is confidential information and they can not talk to me over the phone and that they will transfer me to right department but when they transfer me the phone rings so many times and no one answers. What is so much the big deal about it anyway? Is it only certain companies that have access to this? My questions how do you get a contact without going through all of that? I am in the UK by the way. Thanks for the tips and replies.

You might need to find a "friend" there or yes, go there and talk to the company in person.
Or, just try finding a list to buy and do direct mail.

I would do what the one member said, go there dressed to impress. Tell them you wish to speak to the manager and you are from XXXX repair business. You have to establish trust between your business and their business. You should present yourself, ask to make an appointment to make a presentation. Have one put together outlining how they would benefit from sending customers to you(for example tell them how great your customer service is, and how your rates are very competative ect) You have to make yourself and business look good, so they want to do business with you.

"no one does anything, unless they have a reason"
