Over the weekend, I began brainstorming over startup ideas and came up with this very raw idea for an online-based pc/support site.
After posting my thread on How to Find Solutions to Problems, I began to think of the
different software-based issues PC and PC software consumers encounter, such as the operating, compatibility issues, upgrades, virus/spyware/spam attacks, and so on.
I would like to start a website where Internet-enabled PC users can receive affordable technical support. The user simply logs on to our website, requests help, pays a flat fee with their credit card/Paypal account, and technician diagnoses and fixes their issue via our proprietary remote assistance program.
I'm thinking that I can recruit and compensate technicians by mirroring ChaCha's model of only using techs for when they are needed. That is, I need a large pool of certified techs to be on standby for attending to tech support requests.
I'm a bit concerned publicly displaying my marketing strategy here, so I won't go into detail about that.
Any thoughts, further insight?
