Right all the above motivates me, but I would need a product or service that motivates me as well. Just the thought of making money or being my own boss isn't enough. If you are not passionate about the product/service you are selling then you will often get no where.

Although you could create a site or 2 without much hassle as a hobby.

    Thanks Romane

Well if its your product that you are selling and you are motivate by what I previously mentioned such as being your own boss, seeing your business grow and making your own money, then its pretty much a given that you will be motivated by your product! Because you created it to solve a problem you met in life!
That should motivate you, unless your selling someone elses product in which case you dont really own your own business you are a salesman! :S

This is so frustrating because I want to start a business, but I do not know what it should be about.

I guess I am kinda an odd ball since most people have an idea, but don't ever get around starting it, but me, I am just the opposite. I want to start one, but have no idea what it should be based on.

    Any help?
There MUST be something you are interested in. Just dig deep and find out what it is.

If you know all the steps to starting your own business, then maybe that's what you're passionate about. Start a business that helps people "start up business" :/ Just a thought.

heres a few tips to get you going....

    Hi there,

I know it can be a bit of challenge to figure out what it is that you would love to do online, the best way to tackle this issue is....

    1. Being able to 'eliminate' the fear factor of..."what if i choose the wrong topic for business'...the way you can counteract this, is a) pick 5 subjects you love to do...ie shopping for clothes/make up, do you love animals?, do you like holidays?,
    2. Once you have these (5) topics, do a google search by putting this in:
    [forum] shopping for clothes
[forum] love of animals... (etc - i think you get the point)

    3. What this list will do is bring you onto the forums for each of these subjects, join up to these forums and start discussing the subject, see if you enjoy it? if you do ...you have a winner...

a good thing to remember is....you dont need to be perfect to start an online business, i have several programs that can help you set up your online business for less than $100 (just have a look at my url address in my signature)....

in any case - have fun - being online and making money first starts off with a step by step process and being able to communicate with other online business marketers for support....

    to your success!!!

    Sage (im gunning for ya)!
