    Hey how you doing.
I'm not sure what your skill set is and how much experience you have in marketing. Lets just assume you know exactly what your doing. Before you begin you need to state a few things before we get started with your business.

Are you creating an offline or online marketing business?
Have you researched your market effectively? (meaning do you know your customer well).?
Have you tested the market yet?

These are 3 simple things you can do before you invest a lot of money into something your not quite sure about.

After you have done these 3 things and they are successful, then you want to move into the next stage which is creating a business model, then a revenue model, team, and marketing and sales.

You need to make sure that your idea can sell in your particular market before you waste time and money. If you would like to know how to test the market feel free to write me.

Starting a business is always exciting, the possibilities are so many and that's why everyone wants to build a start-up these days. I consult for new start-ups and budding entrepreneurs and I have seen alot of young people come up to me asking how the will go about starting the business. Building a business is not easy, it's sometime frustrating, tough, time consuming and fund consuming but with determination you can succeed. I cannot completely cover everything about starting a business on here but here's my advice:

1.) write a complete business plan, detailing what exactly you want to do with this business and how you will do it step by step.

2.) List how you intend to fund it ( I advice bootstrapping as a first option)

3.) Look into the Legal requirements (you might need to get a lawyer)

4.) MARKETING/PROMOTING the business is the most difficult and important part. Look for something that benefits your niche. I tell my clients all the time that sometimes social media is not the way to go but usually using resources like twitter, linkedin, facebook can get your name out there like that.

My advice is that you take another look at what u wanna do, is it something you are proud of and confident in? because alot of people will tell you it won't work or it's been done before...and the test of a true entrepreneur is being a trooper, never giving up! so make sure u are confident, and won't shiver when people give you negative responses. I have a whole of more info on my blog, you can check that out to give you a better understanding of what I am talking about.

Question I May be Able to help

What type of service or producting are you trying to promote or market to them? What makes you product or service so different where they should choose you over many more people wit the same thing? When approaching them you should stand out and let them know that your service/product can make their business better before it makes your business better. Need more info?
