Well, to be honest, if you're doing a holding company, then you should name it xxxxx xxxxx Holding, (Inc, LLC, Corp, etc).

If it's a development company, then choose something "Green". This has been the going trend in the construction industry.

To be honest, why don't you set up both? Start the holding company, then loan out the funds to the development firm. You'll be able to seek investors on both levels, as well as develop credit and reputation for both.

Good thoughts, but I think that this mentality is what has really ruined the "Green" movement - choosing a "Green" name just to be affiliated with the movement when there is no such actual affiliation in terms of environmental impact.

In fact, I just read today in Entrepreneur Magazine that, according to Ipsos Reid, "70% of American believe that 'Green' products are just a marketing tactic." Ironic, huh?!

The result of this is that the REAL green companies that are out there doing good are being hurt. Considered that at all? I'd be interested to know your thoughts, or reconsiderations, about calling a company "green" just because it's "been the going trend in the construction industry."
