Have a great idea, need some help...

Hi, I'm new here and this site seems to be very helpful so I'm going to give it a shot. I've had this great idea lately for a site I want to make but I believe its only going to make money from advertisement only unless I make my own services which I will probably do. It's a forum based website to sell, buy and trade things (but there's a catch on what it is). The only question I have is, how do I find a person to make this site for me because I don't know HTML. How about terms and conditions to save my own ass if anything happens? Where would I go to find this information? Thanks in advance.

There are several ways to get a site built: (1) pay someone to build it for you; (2) learn the process and build it yourself or (3) partner up with someone who can build the site. Regarding the "terms and conditions" of forum sites, I suggest you look at some of the more popular forums and see what their terms are. At the very least, it should give you an idea of the topics which are usually covered. Hope that helps. Good luck

There are a lot of turnkey solutions available for forum based sites. Many are free.

mtheory said it the best. Most popular free forums are punbb.org, phpbb.com, simplemachines.org and getvanilla.com

I would go to guru.com and find a freelancer to do it look at what they have done previously, these are people who are looking for work so obviously you should be able to get it on the cheap side with multiple bids as well.
