I get logos designed by one of the finest, Marsh Design Graphics, the best logos, for way less than that.

We are not MSFT, YHOO, or GOOG.

Does the logo include your first born child?
I agree with everyone else, it is indeed steep. Especially being in the development market myself, I know the going rate quite well.

I can get a highly professional logo done for under $150. Perhaps you are trying to sell a Corporate Identity and would like to include letter heads, envelopes, folders and business card into that pricing? Heck, I can even get that done for less.

None the less, good luck with your venture - if you can sell that, you can sell anything.

I charge around $150.00 Industry average is around $100 to $800

So technically its in a safe industry range but I would not call it budget but more mid-size budget range.

Higher end corps higher branding mangers and agencys (higher end budgets) that easily go into the thousands.

also it depends on what they offer, they should have included if it came with any competitor research or on the phone consultation which is included in most mid price ranges.
