Creating a local tv station

Hi...again lol.

I thought about creating a local tv station where everything put on there will be filmmed by independent videographers and people will pay to put things on there.

It would be a real estate station basically. I am having a hard time figuring out how much it will cost, how long it will take and such. Can anyone help me with these questions?

Thanks

A lot... Since I presume building a broadcast tower is out of your budget, so your left with renting a tower and licensing your station with the FCC. Or buying a slot on a cable network. This would not be a cheap endeavor.

Google search for "start a tv station" returned: http://www.talewins.com/freebo/station.pdf as the first result. Looks like a decent place to start. (Disclaimer: it is about internet tv and radio)

The cost of doing this would be HUGE. Why not try it as a online venture, a website or blog with embedded video? Much more do-able.
