Edge as in niche market, or some other competitive advantage. Why should they buy from you over Dell? Dell provides support, warranty, lot of options, customization etc. etc.

As for where to get parts, you need to pick a brand and you want to order in bulk (OEM) direct from them so you can get competitive prices.

Apple / Mac maintains STRICT controls over their hardware. You MUST deal with them if you want to sell their crap... i mean computers. I would believe that PCs are an easier market to break into.

no If there is an authorized dealer of Dell laptops, they also provide support, warranty, lot of options, customization and every other thing!
