    Regarding Promobikes

[QUOTE=biz123;170798]Hi! Any opinions on getting into bike advertising? In other words, a pedal powered mini billboard. I've already invested heavily into my own twist on offering a mobile advertising service. I've found many companies similar to what I plan on doing, some of whose links are below.

One of the best Promobikes Manufacture. Advertising bikes looks awesome.
    Check this out:

    promobikes.eu

Mobile advertising billboard production. Cost effective, high impact advertising, promobike bikes for sale. Lowest cost per thousand impressions media channel. (Adbikes / promobikes / mediabikes)

“HC Cosmos” Ltd. has a long standing experience in out-of-home mobile advertising industry. Company produces human powered advertising bikes and six-sheet advertising trailers. Our unique design products can be purchased directly from us or our distributors in, Europe, Asia, North and South Americas.

Unique advertising bike is far more efficient than motorized analogues as well superior to static billboards. Emerging outdoor advertising industry trends show market maturity in static outdoor billboard segment. Due to traffic regulations, motorized mobile advertising billboards have been banned in many major cities throughout EU and Asia. More and more companies are turning to more efficient and effective outdoor advertising solutions.

Promobikes / Adbikes / Mediabikes is limitless and most efficient outdoor advertising channel that has recently been picking up steam in the biggest cities worldwide such as: New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Stockholm, Milan, Toronto and other urban cities.

The success of truly moving advertising comes from its higher reach and frequency. Mediabike advertising channel has superior levels of recall, reaching a local audience in urban areas, business audience at airports and business districts and tourist audience at resorts.

It is more cost efficient and allows greater coverage when compared to other major advertising media. The other advantages of mobile advertising are visibility, impact and high exposure. Promobike billboards can be displayed anywhere at any time.

The non-motorized mobile billboard industry hopes to hit double digit growth figures next coming years globally.

That's a great find Maito! I am not sure about how much you would get paid for each of these posters but would it be possible to pay somebody to cycle around with them? I know that in Dublin city there are students that cycle around offering free lifts with a 7up sponsored..contraption.

    Just a thought

i was one of those riders in ecocabs in dublin 2 years ago and its a good money maker if you have the cash to start it up. those bikes are not cheep at all, just a basic model will set you back over 8000 euro (ouch!) when the chap started the company he had 4 new bikes and got 2 well used ones from the uk and now he has a fleet of 12 and a refrigerated bike trailer.

i my self am in the prosses of starting a promobike business. the focus of my idea is promoting the cities night life (eg: drink, clubs, bars, bands...) iv built a recumbent trike that im going to modify with billboards and iv wired up lighting under the frame of it so it lights up the ground and have audio installed in the storage compartment. so it will be a real eye and ear catcher

    Advertising for a Bicycle Shop

The recommended advertising for a bike shop is the small one, occasional classified ad or small yellow ad but not large expensive displays. The classified ad should be specific, meaning it will show items or services that you are offering and their prices. You might also distribute fliers and set up posters and inexpensive signage. Giveaways like pens, flashlights, business cards and imprinted receipts are also materials in which you can advertise your business. A very visible display would also help in enticing people to visit your shop. But most importantly, you should build your clientele through referrals of your good service, the completeness of your merchandise and your strategic location.
Other Tips for a Bicycle Shop Owner

It would help if you have an experience in the bike business, but not necessary; as a general proposition you should be interested into bikes or bike business to be able to bring it through seasons like winter and summer when people are not inclined to buy and ride bikes. Also, it is important for you to realize that this business involves a durable item that needs replacement rarely. That is why it is important for you to keep your business busy by making sales of bike accessories a large part of your business.

    Hello, hello:
I am in Pittsburgh and I might be able to help. I am building a company to build them here in Pittsburgh.
I have designs and prototypes for advertising bikes, cargo delivery bikes, cargo delivery trikes, inline rickshaws (for high traffic places), and food vending platforms. I also have designs for billboard covers, and other innovations for advertising as well.
I will be able to build these at a significant price reduction from other companies.
I am ready to talk turkey and organize orders. I can build you these bikes, and put them in service for you.

I also have designs for advertising bike racks.
I can also put small electric or gas motors on some of them if you want.

I use 80%+ recycled steel to make my bikes, green practices in manufacture, and make them in Pittsburgh. Any one who wants ad bikes call/contact me.
Contact me 412-441-4720 or pm me.
I am also interested in serious investors for this business. I will need more capital to fill the void in the market!!!
    Business plan/ executive summary available.

Hi I have seen some of these bikes too and they look great but they are costly and a huge investment as an alternative why not make your own trailer initially, as I have done, just to see how it goes or invest in something more modest there are some advertising trailers on ebay for £49.99 which seem OK as a starting point. you can check out the one I built on face book

Well this is a unique way but people are more focused on what they can see on TV and other things that media can do. If you really into this, I suggest you focus on areas where there are always lots of people that has time to read your ads like places that there is always a traffic (yeah it is funny)... but as you can see, people who are stranded to traffic has more time to read an ad compared to people in the park. Why? because people in the traffic is more focused on the road and what's going on beside them (whether the traffic is moving etc... they will focus in every single movement). While people in the park will most likely would want to relax and unwind, do things they wanted to do and might miss your ad.
