    Advice on a business idea.

I was just thinking about a website pretty much similar to howtodothings.com but with the addition of being able to sell books and ebooks. I trying to think of something along these lines. If anyone can help out with this idea let me know.
    Thanks

There are so many fantastic resources out there already that are totally free. Some even offer podcasts, vidcasts, etc. - My biggest question is, why would someone pay for an ebook with the same info they can get for free?

You would have to assemble a rather large team and dedicate your life to a project like this to make a go of it. Not saying it can't be done, but there are numerous players in the game already that do it very, very well.

    Check out...

    eHow.com
    HowCast.com
    WonderHowTo.com

Those are some big guns. You're best bet would be to become an expert in just a few select topics, put up a website for each one selling your information.

Whatever you decide, best of luck to you!

You won't be able to compete with the "big guns" mentioned above and others that weren't mentioned if you try to be all things to all people.

But you can focus on a niche and go deep in that one niche with a bunch of how to articles, videos etc on one subject setting yoruself up as an authority.

If you are just getting started check out Ed Dales's 30 day challenge. It's free and I think it's starting in June. He teaches you how to do effective market research and make your first $10 online. It's a great step by step program that's far better than most of the expensive home study programs out there..
