I'm not sure if you did that last part on purpose...but you made a good point.

bopa media, don't think I'm picking on you, because I'm not. However, if you're going to write a post telling people to check their spelling and grammar, you should heed your own advice and do the same thing.

Your statement above is an absolute smorgasbord of spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.

Just for us who aren't too familiar with articles and the value of them... could you please explain the difference between an article and a press release? And what process would you go through to decide on what to write your article on because I don't understand how all the articles you write can lead back to your website...

I heard before about writing articles. I do have any idea how to start. Then some recommended some only Article writers and I spent $500 for someone else to write it for me and guess what??? I did not get not One traffic to my site. Then I went to another site where you submit a bid to find someone to write the article for me and guess what happend?? The guy form India wrote me an article that I could do it myself (that is how bad it was) 2 small paragraph and the bid was for $100.00 Can somebody recommend a serious and affordable place where they can write the article? Thanks.

Most blog articles end up in social directories and not article directories. From an SEO standpoint unique is always better with any article.

From a traffic standpoint volume of directories is better because the more people that see your article the more potential traffic you have.

In my case I write and article and then I go to Content Composer and create 5-10 versions of it. I use them as follows....

1. One in my Word Press blog which pings my post
2. One submitted to EzineArticles
3. One submitted to IdeaMarketers
4. One submitted to ArticleMarketers
5. One submitted to a variety of article directories

Lastly I will submit the url of my blog post to various social directories.

This takes time to do all of this and if I am in a hurry I will just submit an article to my blog and a different version to EzineArticles.

I know if you asked 10 people this question you will get 10 different answers on what to do with an article, but that is how I try to do it.

Content Composer is expensive to buy and a little hard to set up, but it is nice for creating unique versions of an article.

article writing is great for SEO!

I use the same sites listed, like ideamarketers, ezinearticles, etc.

The exciting thing is that if you had searched for me, Susan Payton, on Google 4 months ago, I might have been only a few of the results. Now I'm 98%, and most are my articles!

I regularly publish my articles (many are from my blog, Egg Marketing Blog) once a week. I'm finding my articles pop up in surprising places!

For shoestring marketing, you can't get any cheaper, great results than article marketing. It's free and easy.

Post Literate Age

I too believe in publishing as mentioned above. We as a company are taking an active interest in publishing in our trade papers as well.

As we however move to a "post literate age", I believe the writen article can be supplimented by podcast...especially if the audience is technical or younger in nature. If the podcast is on point, gives great information, and is well produced, it can easily reach 100,000 or more potential users of your business or service. As mentioned above, the entrepreneur has to know his market and his niche. Many podcasts get one listen and then folks never go back because it isn't worth their time. Make it valuable...and they will come.
