for consumer electronics,i have to say, subject to copyright, many Chinese companies only produce a lot of goods which are similar with famous brands in functions and style, obviously, their quality can't be compared with brand as a lower price,so if you want to get more,it hasn't.
sure that ,check them carefully, then buy them.
if not, maybe you can't get what you want.
good luck!

Well, Chinese can be canny in that way. It's not a DIRECT copy, but it's still a copy.
Why is copying so rampant in China? The answer lies in the education system, which emphasises rote learning and exam results. Art, creativity and self-expression are not encouraged. By the time students reach university level, 12 years of grinding conformity has taken its toll on most people. Any creative juice has been squeezed out!

hey teabenny,
yes,i agree with you to a high degree,it seems you get learning of China accurately,i have to say that, even many Chinese can't be awake of what you said, meanwhile no one has the power to innovate it near term,by which China governs its national,it need time.
and you ?what job do you work with in China?

Things i have bought from china.. (wholesale) have been pretty good. I have dealt with some suppliers that I see realise are out to scam my money, thought when you get to know one or two really well, they are very helpful and will give you quality for money. I only buy from one supplier now and we trust eachother, he even gives me credit on stock. China is a very profitable and stable place to get your goods from, that is it you spend xome time finding the right suppliers.
Ofcourse I do agree with the post, a LOT are dodgy!

As a chinese,I feel very sorry for what I saw.But now I want to tell you, what you think of is not the real chinese. You don't know chinese.,even you don't know where is China. The people here are very friendly, virtuous.
As a businessman,I can say, almost each importer got big profits from importing chinese goods, for example, gasoline chainsaw, etc. My clients from Australia said :I have been in using you chainsaw for 5 years, good!
I have many friends of the world .I am kindly to get together with my friends, and so are they !

the earthquake in china is a major disaster and very sad to see... i don't see how that has anything to do with trade though... it is a human disaster and i'm sure we all feel for the families that have been affected by such a tragedy
