I have read these blogs and it is interesting to me the resonses that are going up from so called entrepeneur minds. To discard this as an option while you are on your journey to launch your creation of a buisness is limiting. No MLMs should not be the direction that any young entrepeneur should go in because its a product and a system that was not created by you. So to consider this as a buisness would be foolish however, you can use MLM's as a tool, a tool for networking, a tool for cash flow, a tool for self growth. Alot of the obstacles, (If you are so bold and persistent to over come them) are great preperation for the life of owning and growing a buisness. I leave you with this, go with your gut and your instincts, this is coming from someone that allways goes against the grain, EVERYONE will tell you not to do it because of A B or C. What they wont tell you is their incapabilities that lead them to feel the way they do. I have been part of a few organizations that have been ridiculed as a scam, one being Vector Marketing that sales Cutco knives. At first sight looks like a scam but i tell you this if its a scam then i was the one that came out on top! Its all in your mind

if you look at any form of buisiness its built on level think of this they say mlm is a pyramid scheme but what about Mcdonalds here is a billion dollar company and the person at the top and his fellow board members below him are reaping the profit from the work of the teenager or the colage student getting paid minimum wage its all on person who is willing to work hard for themselves to make their own money

I agree with a lot of the replies here. A lot of people in the MLM industry just don't have good business-sense.

    Talking

I think there are many MLM companies out there that give MLM a bad rep.
There are the right ways to do this business and the wrong way, and many people go about it alone and with a negative attitude and expect to succeed.
You need to be on a great supportive team of people that are positive!
Write affirmations, make a vision board, keep in contact with your team members!
You will succeed. I have witnessed it with my team members.
In these times when the economy is so bad no one is seeing bail out checks from the government...but if a company can send you a check for a few grand it can save your house, pay your medical bills etc.
Many companies out there have products that are not original and can be bought for a cheaper price at costco and sams.
I suggest everyone look into MANNATECH..and not the 2 bad postings about it when you search it on google from 6plus years ago that were copy pasted everywhere...but the good postings.
There are calls currently every Monday thru Saturday 11 AM pacific
    Monday thru thursday 7pm pacific

listen in. It's helpful for ANY MLM business you are involved with.
If your product that you are selling doesn't have a 6 month guarantee, even if opened and used then I would question the product you are selling.
I work for myself, and I promote wellness with mannatech.

Also, for everyone who used the words pyramid scheme etc.
Look at any major company and recognize that it is a pyramid. The ceo at the top, investors, and the poor people who make minimum wage at the bottom. For many people there is a ceiling to their income, there is no possibility for them advancing in the company. With some MLM companies like mannatech there is the possibility for advancement and great residual income!

Hi I agree with hereliesboots, MLM is a very legit, fair, and profitable way to start your own business within a business. It shares characteristics with having your own business even though it isn't your own company. You work on your own time, you work for yourself, and your profits directly reflect your efforts. Often with MLM the work does itself and there's no limit to how much you can profit. This doesn't go for ALL network marketing companies, however MANNATECH is a legit company that is doing very well and has HUGE rewards for your efforts. You should really look into that company is awesome, everyone works as a team

Hello. I just wanted to educate people on MLM/Network Marketing. I have a post in this forum containing MLM information. I will post the link at the end of my post. I agree that people say they hate MLM/Network Marketing, and I also think that people hate what they dont understand. I want to say that MLM/Network Marketing isn't bad. Its bad people who use the MLM/Network Marketing model that has made MLM/Network Marketing a bad name in peoples eyes. As much as people want to say that they hate MLM/Network Marketing the same people have to agree that people do make money in MLM/Network Marketing business's. Really people are not hating MLM/Network Marketing, they are hating the companies that abuse the model. Here is an example of successful companies who use a MLM/Network Marketing business type model and are successful. Walmart,Taco Bell, McDonalds, and the list goes on. Why do I say they use the MLM/Network Marketing type business model? They all have a products and/or services that they offer consumers. They all have a Proven system in place for success. There goal is to open more franchises so they can sell more products and/or services. They would not be as successful today as they are if they had not opened franchise stores. Most people do not realize that these busineses are also set up like a pyramid. You will never make more money than the Ceo of these companies. Now I want to direct you to some videos that will give your more information about MLM/network Marketing. Follow my thread First Class MLM must watch Video's I appriciate you reading my post and I hope this post will educate you more on MLM/Network Marketing.

    Warning: some MLM's are scams!

Yes it is true, you better believe it!
Some network marketing companies are actually a scam.
So are some of the real-estate, stock exchange & internet companies.

Dishonest & mean folk go around in all walks of life. It could be anywhere & any time.
    It goes in any field.

But when it comes to people's failures in network marketing, suddenly even big multibillion MLM companies that passed the 25 year mark can become a "scam" in their own mind.

As it goes for MLM, there are 2 main scam factors.
first is the famous "Pyramid scam" in which ordinary people pass out money from one to another and increasing a sole product in their business, which is money.
This is a business without a product, hence it is illegal

The second are companies that were made to be gone.
This means that some MLM companies rise up with a certain product just to accumulate fast growth, reap the short rewards & vanish into thin air without paying their "distributers" commissions

I will address a commonly known scenario which can mistakenly assumed as a scam, but in reality it is just a symptom of poor businessmen skills.
I mean companies which simply go bankrupt, and have more liabilities than assets.
They lose more money than they earn money.
Their compensation plans are not OK mathematically

Many people who failed in NM & stopped working with their network marketing companies, find it easy to blame the company as a "scam".
In 80% of the cases it is like saying that you failed dancing because the floor was bent.
I'm not saying that all marketers are with the right MLM company for them, but it’s a persons responsibility to understand his failure or result & not blaming the company solely for this.

Many new ideas have historically created similar responses from the masses.

Look what happened to Galileo for being the first to get that everything in the universe doesn't revolve around the Earth!

Network Marketing is such a more advanced business model than traditional buying and selling, it is not surprising that so many people fear that which they don't understand.
