    Thoughts about global entrepreneur cooperation

    Hi guys,
I've been thinking about what business to start this summer (apart from my webdesign studio) and I've got lot's of Ideas. Many of them aren't really new, most of them are about following some global business trends in my local area (Russia and Ukraine). And I thought there are a lot of people who are doing the same in different locations around the world. And I thought that if we worked together on the same ideas we could save a lot of resources, share ideas, etc.

    What am I talking about?
As an example - teamdating.com - a great new idea in dating web sites. Although it's possible to become a member in any part of the world - I don't think there are much people there from countries other then US and UK. So I'd like to launch the same website in Russia.
Now, imagine we have a team from like 30 entrepreneurs like me in 30 different countries. We could each invest lets say 100-200 bucks and get the same script developed (because we would have 3000-6000 in total). Then we could each start this website in our country. We could share our ideas and our experience about it's promotion etc. Then we could work on another project and another. As long as our interest areas don't overlap (we don't compete each-other) this cooperation could be very helpfull.

Now imagine we have completed several different projects... This means we have 100s of websites across the world, hopefully a lot of traffic, revenue, experience, etc. Think of the possibilities this kind of team may have!

    What do you think?

Datings websites are everywhere nowadays. Even in Singapore, it is more than 20 sites promoting same kind of services. It is too competitive. Besides that, the sources of income is more towards advertisement rather than member fees since it is so competitive. Perhaps, you can have different idea on getting the revenue. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
I have yet to be a billionaire but will be very soon.

It's not about making dating sites it's is just one example of a project we could work together on. I have a lot more. I really see a lot of opportunities here.

Besides, I don't think teamdating is such a bad idea. Yes, there are a lot of dating sites, and they're all similar. But this one is about meeting in groups of people, which could be more fun and I haven't seen any other site offer that.

Or let me put it another way. I'm in Kiev, Ukraine, and I'm pretty sure I can make group dating popular here, however, I'm not ready to invest couple of thosands bucks to find out if I'm right. Couple of hundred - yes.

As for sources of income. I see lot's of income when i think of a lot of visitors from the same area. Think about bars, nightclubs...

The idea is good, but the logistics are bad. finding 30 people willing to float money on an idea, without trying to beat you to the punch will be hard. Also since you are looking for people from many diffrent countries it will be even harder to have an kind of legal partnership drawn up. There are ways, but you would really need to think about that before you jump into anything.

Now with that said, I might be interested in helping you out in any way that i can(I run a pretty large marketing / webdesign company out of the US) and might even be interested in partnering on a few ideas.

The dating site idea kind of feel the way of the milliondolar home page idea, so many of them that the margins are way to low now. If you/we could come up with a new idea for that it might be worth investing. You might be able to resurect it in your area by getting a bar or night club or many of them to sign on as "partners" and hold secure meet and greats at those locations. Maybe even speed dating or somethign like that. Just a thought

Yes, you are right. Actually I think having a legal partnership under these conditions is almost impossible, it has to be built on trust. That's why i want people to be from different areas and the projects to be local, so that members don't compete each other, but have the motivation to work together instead.

Yes, that's what i was thinking about. Anyway we could do any other project.
