That speaks volumes. I have read a lot of his books... but you really have to take them as a grain of salt. While they do a good job of getting you to think, you will be a nut job if you try to follow it to closely. That goes with any learned techiques. That is what has been the final straw at my current employer. Our IT department was two people, and they decided to hire a third person. I thought that was great, because we needed some help. Behind our backs, they started looking for a manager. Then, when we found out, they told us he would be a working manager, managing about 20-30% of the time. That wasn't that bad. Then when the guy started... he had no IT experience, and they told us they hired his only for his managerial experience (he actually does have IT experience, but not on the level that an IT manager needs... if I would have been hiring for the position, he would not have even made the first cut). This guy sounds like he just took a class, or read a book on project management. The guy wants us to make project plans for EVERYTHING. I am fine with doing it for actual projects.... but it is to the point where he wants to do it when we hit the john. So, as always, do not become a fanatic.

MLM burned me..

If you were into MLMs for awhile you might remember EQUINOX

I was 2 people Under Sherry Sharmon, who was under Bill Gouldd.

Needless to say 5k in debt later and tons of money out for "training" I jumped out and the thing got pulled into court a couple years later...

MLM is now a dirty word in most peoples mouths.. that is why I am signed up to youngentrepreneur.com and not youngMLM.com

MLM gets a big thumbs down from me. Like communism.. it sounds like it would work, but it doesnt...

Its not communism

Its just like working at Mcdonalds, you serve food, you get money. With MLMs you give deals, you get money.

I'm new to this board, but I have experience with MLM, and I see nothing wrong with it. Yes, you may find scams that will take your money when you sign up, but there are also many other scams. Take eBay for example - they have all kinds scams on there, but that doesn't keep you from using it to find the good ones, does it?

I know people that have made a living off of MLM, because they found the legit companies and devoted themselves to building up the company. I've signed up for a couple of MLM programs, and I've had no success whatsoever, but that's only because I haven't tried one bit to succeed.

As far as those of you who believe that earning money off of MLM and managing a team isn't at all like owning a business - you are completely wrong. If you recall, in the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, Kiyosaki's rich dad managed his team every morning to make sure everyone was doing there part and earning him money - is it no different in MLM?
