tea dropshipping
As we expand our company, we have begun to develop a drop shipping strategy as opposed to an affiliate strategy.
So if anyone here wants to begin offering your customers gourmet loose leaf teas, contact us at info at psteas dot com.
It would work like any drop ship, where you just send us the orders at the end of the day, we fulfill and ship it to the customer. You charge them whatever you want, and we charge you an amount that is less than our retail cost.
Anyhow, just thought I'd put that out there!

Teana,
Great idea! How is business going for you? I still think that out of all the people on this forum, you've got one of the best looking sites/products.
How much is the drop shipping fee?

hey eric,
Thanks for the compliments. There really isn't a set drop shipping fee.
Let's say your a dropshipper of mine. I charge you $3.95 for shipping costs, since I don't make money on shipping, and then for the products, an example would be if the retail costs 9.95 like our summer pudding, I would sell it to you for 6.95 and you can charge whatever you want.
As for business, it is picking up and we are just trying to keep the pace up and expand our sales and marketing strategy. Oh the pains of growing a company. =)
How are things on your end?
That's the basic idea. I am hoping this would work better than our affiliate program which wasn't really faring too well. The more the dropshipper sells, the lower the purchase price.

What happened with the affiliate program? That would've been something I'd have been interested in (not at the moment, but down the road). What percentage did your program offer to affiliates?

for the affiliate program, we were offering a start of 7-10% and upwards of 20% if you were bringing in volume.
We may bring it back, since it never hurts to get more traffic, but if we do, it'll be in the beginning of the new year.

herbie,
we currently only ship in the states. We can do overseas but the shipping costs would be pretty high. If you are interested or know someone that is interested, I am sure we can work something out.

Have you linked up with any other sites to push this drop shipping as it sounds like a good idea and allows your affiliates to "keep" the customers.

hey eric,
We're still trying to figure out where to promote this opportunity. We have been contacting other sites that sell teas but aren't their own brands. But that's the extent of it for now.
Any suggestions?

Do you list your products on froogle, zshops (amazon) and ebay. As these high traffic sites can get your name out there pretty quick, even if you don't get sales straight away.

Hi there...
Hi there,
I've sent your company an email through your site asking for the details on the drop shipping service you provide. I'm the student from the University of Texas at Austin. I'm looking to sell tea online and become an excellent source for tea lovers to buy excellent tea products. I'm looking to start small but see great potential here in Austin. I use to work for a company called Teavana who, by internal news, is looking to expand to Austin, Tx where I currently reside. I would like to offer your product on my site but would like to build a business relation with Paper Street Teas. I've looked into cooperating with foreign tea companies but at this time we are not able to hold inventory for the company yet. We are currently building our website which I think, in order to get product selling, will temporarily be hosted on through the service that the Ebay Pro Shops offers. Our business is not exact tea, its finding quality tea at consumer affordable prices. I believe that your company has a lot to offer and would like for Paper Street Teas to be our tea provider as we launch our online venture. Please notify me of how we can continue a possible cooperation.
Respectfully,
Tony Tovar

Drop shipping
I hope to start a website here within the next few months. I wanted to find a drop shipper for tea because I don not have the space to keep stock of items. What do I need to do in order to get more information from you about the drop shipping offer?
