Startup Business Opportunity

I wondering if there is anyone on here who is interested in a possibly successful startup opportunity. It has been in the works for several years, and I have personally laid out all of the ground work myself.

I have several years experience broadcasting on commercial radio, and have brought together a team of experienced professionals (directly related in the field), to make my dream a reality. I have recently have brought two possible financiers to the table (Business Development Bank of Canada, and a private investment firm from the US). Either are willing to participate on this project, and are willing to contribute 70% of total project costs. We are required to come up with 30% of the total to get going now. We are going to offer an XM broacast in which the world will look at communication in a whole new way (don't think I'm going to give you the recipe for free, just because you're an accredited investor (or some regular Joe), just interested in what I'm doing). We have two solid prospects (pending) for telecommunications (totalling 17,000 sq.ft), and a business pro forma that has been approved by the banks.

Our VP Sales has successfully lunched three previous stations, and successfully sold his last one for 78,000,000 (including all assets). He also possesses his clientele list (built over 18 years) totalling 1800, in which he has successfully done business with. He maintains those relationships today.

This is already a lengthy post, so i'll cut to the chase. I appreciate everyone who has taken the interest to read this but if you:
a) Are just generally curious, I don't have time for your smart-ass comments, or arrogance its not progressing my project.
b) Have never particpated in or closed a deal for at least 1,000,000 CDN/USD don't waste my time, or embarass yourself.
c) Really don't have an interest in what I'm doing, let me get to the people that might REALLY assist in getting this done.

This is a company that can do 13,000,000 per year and has a really good chance of a healthy return. I am trying to raise 1,200,000- 1,500,000.If this is something that might interest you, and you're serious I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

Have you guys talked to the local Angel groups (Keiretsu Forum and Deal Generator)? I know you're not what their investors typically go for, but talking to the Executive Directors of each firm would give you a feel of whether you could find some or all of that money locally.

Local Edmonton Investors

Jdoc: If its in Edmonton, I've dealt with them. The deal generator here is very cheap, I have spent considerable time and money putting together a solid feasibility study by accountants, the crtc, and business analysts. There is no point in spending $3,000(in fees) on a company that can barely bring a quarter million together. They told me they simply don't have the resources. Further more, Alberta is a very hard place to find capital -investors here shy away from telecommunications- and new technology period! They stick to what they know-oil and agriculture. Investors from either Vancouver or Toronto (i.e. look at CHUM for instance, they swooped in and bought out A channel) come in and invest for cheap. As for the forum your mentioning in Calgary- its chairman is Randy Thompson (he also happens to be the head man for Alberta Venture) and they too, get all of their big investments prospecting investors from California. I check every investor in my own back yard, before I try looking elsewhere (its common sense).

I am definitely aware of the difficulties in finding capital for businesses outside of oil & gas in this province. A-Channel wasn't even Alberta based in the first place, it was owned by Craig Media (Winnipeg).

That said, there may be another Charles Allard (ITV/Global Edmonton founder) lurking in town if you know where to look. But I agree that the best use of your time is to look outside the provincial borders.
