    Reseller programs

I have been looking to join a reseller program for hosting and domain name registration. What do you guys think of being a reseller? Is it worth it? One program that I found is http://www.wildwestdomains.com/

What do you guys think? Is it worth the investment? Has anyone ever had experience as a reseller?

    Do your research.

Start a Niche company rather than catch all.

    WebHostingTalk.com gives tons of information.

    BEST OF LUCK!!!

Reselling domains is more of an add on services now. The market pricing really is not allowing a large range for profit. Wildwest(Go Daddy), eNom, 1Ahosting.com, and a few others have nice programs going.

1Ahosting.com and Wildwest are probably the cheapest to get pricing under the $7.00 mark. Yo can get into an eNom $6.96 account for approx $300+. So after processing fees you cost is closer to $8.00. So if your are trying to make money just selling domains it will not be very easy.

Also this last week Rackshack started selling domains for $5.00. Adding more competition to the market.

Dotster.com also offers an instant domain reseller system, however your base cost is $12.00 per domain I believe, however it costs nothing to start selling domains immediately. No waiting.

You make the real money from selling hosting. You have the domains for mere convenience.

We are considering allowing current customers to opportunity to resell our reseller plans at a 25% price break. I think it will do well.

Competition is fierce. Rackshack is betting that they'll make up their losses in hosting. Good for the consumer though. =)

    Thumbs up Domain resellers

I used always before www.onlinenic.com - No fees to signup but domains are about 7 USD for registration.

We linked to First Data's website in the States ( www.surepay.com ) and it worked well.

Important also was that they don't delay transfers if you want to move to a different provider.
