    Smile Relexation For Young

I have been interested in real estate, and this idea just came to me instantly and I thought I might share it with you guys.
Picture this, you live in a busy, congested, crowded, and LOUD metropolis such as New York City. You have to meet deadlines, schedule meetings, and run errands, but it is all starting to take a toll, and you just need a place to relax. What if you could escape from all of this? What if there was a place you could escape from the stress, noise and stuffiness of metropolis, for a few minutes or hours.

The venture is a mixture of a spa, private garden, and library. Basically, one would purchase a fairly large commercial property. The property would basically be a indoor Japanese style Garden, with a roof that is made of glass, and can be retractable in fair weather. Once in the building there is basically no technology allowed into the garden room. Cell phone, pagers, and beepers and laptops are not allowed to enter the garden.

Once in the garden, you have the choice of sitting on the few benches, or on the grass lawn. You could also gaze at the coy pond, that is laced with smoothend stones. You could also, just walk around, for exercise. There is total silence, so you can get away from everything. In addition to this there is a small cafe/bookstore on the premises. There is also a locker room, that allows for customers to change into more comfertable clothing.

I think that this would be a total smash among the young, busy and stressed professionals of almost any city. According to my estimate, the total statup costs are low, so are the operating costs. I am looking for young, smart, and dedicated professionals to answer to this posting if they are intrested in coming aboard as a partners. In addition, if you feel that you would patronize a place like this, drop me a line at Kunleoyesola@yahoo.com. If you send mail to me, I will try to reply with a more detailed explanation, and send you more information.

P.S. I have posted this on some sites and there was no response, but I think those sites were dead.
    Thank You

I think its an excellent idea, a place for stressed out people to just relax.

Unfortunately I live in Australia, which is pretty far, but good luck with the idea

I think this is a wonderful idea.

In Calgary, in the downtown core, they have something similar to this. It is on the top floor of the strip mall, the whole length of the building. It is almost like an atrium, full of plants, fish ponds and pathways. Many people use the setting for their wedding pictures.

When I was growing up, I loved going there. And even now, when I go back there, I make a point of visiting there for an hour or so. Especially if I have people with me who have never been to Calgary, then I take them there as well!

Please feel free to ask me any questions about how it was set up in Calgary, or if you need any help.

    I say go for it!

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your quick answeres. Right now I am going to shelf this project, and focus on building my property development company. In the near future, by God's grace I will defintley aggresively pursue it. For now I am just going to research the feild and grow my industry contact list.

I would still like to know your responses, because they will come in handy later on. If anyone out there is a landscape architect, spa manager, or is involved in the relaxation industry or any feild that pertians to this idea please, shoot me an e-mail.

I will be very happy to correspond and for a realationship with you
I think Unlike many other sites, this place is truly where likeminded people can share ideas.

P.S. Tell someone that is stressed out and overworked about this idea. I am very interested in seeing how they would respond.

isnt what your proposing basically a park? you want people to pay to have what thier taxes are supposed to provide? and a large building with a retractable roof? The costs of building and maintaining that would be astronomical. I do, however, see where you are coming from with the need for a quick escape to relaxation. I feel, a better way to take advantage of this would be to create a restaurant/cafe with a calm forest in the morning type theme, with relaxing sounds playing in the background rather than crappy music. Also make sure to have extremely comfortable chairs and all that. well thats my opinion anyway, i could be wrong.

This is a superb idea. Although Mark is right about parks being free - they're not always available. Plus you need to take your own book, there's no spa and nowhere to change into something comfortable. Not to mention that here in the UK the weather is only good enough for a few months each year.

I've been thinking about a similar thing recently after seeing a news item about the re-opneing of a Turkish bath-house that has been closed for many years. Although it has been restored to it's former look, they've now added many modern features and aimed it at the poor stressed-out office worker looking to relax.

A cheaper alternative is a relaxaion room. People hire out the room for 30 mins and then run a selecetd program that plays a chosen relaxation tape and has an accompanying light show in an otherwise darkened atmosphere.

    Good luck with your venture!
