I'm doing my manufacturing in Colombia, known for the quality of their cotton and their workmanship. If anyone wants to check them out contact: Isaac Cohen @ (786) 207-2570 (Florida #/Vonage) and/or check their website: www.confablue.com. They do tees, casual clothing, denim and sport wear for both sexes. If your biz is in the U.S. there are no duties to be paid thanks to the Andean Free Trade Agreement so all you'll add to the cost of the purchased items are the freight and custom broker charges.

Be cognizant of the fact that dealing with lots of overseas manufacturing carry the additional cost of duties. Look to manufacture with a country that has a FTA with your country. Also remember, the higher the volume the lower your cost but it all depends on how you negotiate and haggle pricing.

Last but not least, make sure you are informed as to the weight of the tee in grams (gms) you are paying for and that for your $4 you get the silkscreen printing, whether it includes effects (glitter, foil, flocking, gel, high density, etc. Without effects should be a tad cheaper), the label, the hangtag and either individual or pre-pack 1/2 dozen tees packaging (this is done for wholesale so your buyer will have to buy your full scale of sizes and not cherry pick. For example, on a scale of Large to 3XL the breakdown is usually of 2 L/2 XL/1 2XL/1 3XL) . The ideal weight for a fashion tee is between 185-200gms and for urban fashion/hip hop gear it starts at 200gms. Good luck!!!

Looking For Clothing Manufacturer

I am a small business owner and I am looking to have my own clothing line made of t's tanks, and jeans in western cowgirl style.... Anyone have any information for me? I would greatly appreciate it.
I have been to Korea, because my husband was in the military, and tried finding companies but it is so hard to just go out and go door to door looking for the right manufacturer. It's easier to get sources from people. Mostly the area we lived in in Korea was purses, which I am interested in as well...... (rhinestone buckle purses)
Please e-mail me at robin@cowgirlscouture.com or PM me.....
I would greatly appreciate any help!!!!

Thank you,

Robin

I just want to make a correction. the 5 cents a day labour is not true. However, labour cost in the Phils is low compared to the US. i have garments contacts here in the Phils. email me what you need and price you want lets see if we can meet with that. No problem with quality. email is xtinle@excite.com

Hey Robin,

I suggest that if you put girl models on your site, it might generate more traffic. I think showing your product with models might give it a little spike.
