Opening restaurant/club

I've always liked the idea of opening a restaurant or some kind of club, does anyone have any experience or any thoughts on the idea?

I have the same idea as you! I once wanted to run a mobile kiosk selling fast food goodies around the campus, but idea was rejected at the eleventh hour, due to some unfavourable issue.

Anyway, I am working now to gather some capital to start up a moderate cafe/pub to cater to the growing dining market around my country. (Malaysia).

From my failure experience, I would say it is best to run a profound market research on the acceptance of market in the area, where u intend to run the restaurant. Then, look into your pocket and see how you can strat rolling them, most of the suppliers will only entertain COD client, it is best if you can scout around those that accpet credit terms. But only cheap and nice appliances and excite your creativity to come out with something that is cheap and attractive. My keyword is .. watch your spending as this is one business that requires one to have enough to play around.
