    Cool Opening a New Business

What are your thoughts on Great Clips franchise? I am thinking about opening one and was wondering where I can do research to find out if this is a good franchise to own. I have read about this franchise on various website but now like to talk to someone who has already has the franchise.
    Any advise would be great

http://franchise.org/ has general info on finding the right franchise for you.

Whatever you pick I wouldn't base it on numbers, pick something that truly means something to you and something you'd really like doing and can see yourself doing for years.

Where I live we don't have Great Clips, I assume it's a hair salon, in that case we have SuperCuts, which I really like and go there when I don't have long hair.

I think independent barbershops probably do just as good or better than greatclips. Besides the name, what else are you getting for your money?

I assume you know how to cut hair, by the way?

If I remember right super-cuts has training they say will work with most new hires, kinda cookie-cutter less-hassle situation. Which would be cheap if you had many seats and wanted them filled. Other-wise they have to go through beauty school or equvalent to obtain the license. I went to a launch of a new store and everybody was trained together and there was alot of buzz. No sure what they told those folks but they all had thier hands on a future. Of course I am no expert on the subject.
