First of all this is NOT one of those buy-sell from your home product gigs.
HungryHorn is built ontop a web application my company spent 6 months developing: http://www.hungryhorn.com/
It is targeted at Austin residents, and connecting them to all the wonderful local restaurants (there are LOTS of local entertainment venues in austin). It uses the latest AJAX techniques, the greatest javascript libraries, and is built on a solid PHP framework.
Basically the system is designed for use in all cities, but it is branded to Austin. I want to keep this website at the local-level, this is why I did this. The entrepreneur will be allowed to use the webservice's core system at $0 setup fee and no licensing cost. Payment will be made as a percentage of gross revenue.
The business model is quite simple: local restaurants signup for the service at a monthly rate of $49. The businesses would be approached by a sales group (could be just you) assembled by the entrepreneur. The businesses then get access to a personalized mini-website, a listing as well as advertisement on the site, and targeted local advertising.
Because of the nature of the product, revenue will depend on you completely. This is passive revenue. As an example example, if you sign up only a single business per day, after 6 months you would be grossing over $8800/month. The income is residual, so once the company is signed up the system runs itself. All you have to do is worry about advertising your branded site in your local city. This will be your out of pocket expense.
A key ingredient here is local advertising: college campuses, hotels, and the like. The entrepreneur must be intimately knowledgeable of their city. You must come up with creative ways of advertising.
At this point it is important to note that the entrepreneur would not need any technical knowledge in the area of programing, web-design, databases, or any other online technology (but it'd be cool if you did). All updates, maintenance, hosting, and technical support would be managed by me. The entrepreneur should be proficient in management, sales, and marketing, as they will setup anything necessary for their respective city.
Again, you will be hooking into an existing system, so any maintenance, functionality expansion, etc would happen automatically (you would not be involved with the product development). For instance I will be adding features such as social-networking, restaurant rating, etc. These features will automatically and instantly be applied to your website as well.
Applicant could be anyone in US or UK and will be interviewed online. Cities will be reserved on a first-contact (and interviewed) basis.
Thank you
