Need help with a poll / vote site

I'd like to create a simple site where visitors can rate about 20-30 items. Just one vote. then see the results and kinda permanent looking. and also the ability to see time periods. all time. this month. this week.

also one vote per month per ip feature. I know at least some of the features could be done with a simple blog poll feature but I think I would want something bigger and better. Also logo next to check box and link to more info.

How would you do go about doing this. If you have any sites voting sites or a poll page on your site would please share for inspiration and example.

    Cheers

Well I'd go about it, by designing a mock layout in photoshop, transferring it into xhtml, coding the site scripts in php, building the db structure and then finally adding some content.

Alternatively I'd search Hotscripts.com or Sourceforge.net for 'polls' and look for an open source one to learn from.
