My Websites In Spanish?
I want to get the opinion of Young Entrepreneurs on this forum about the following:

I've found good success with my online businesses so far, I mean it has taken me few months to see a profit, but finally I got my first check recently. And the best thing is that I will make monthly at least that much for he rest of my life, unless the client quits. But that's unlikely once you take off.

The questions is (only for the ones with more experience and that know what their are taking about, please):

What if I translate all my websites to Spanish? Would that be a good idea? How about for the search engines results?

Please reply with honest answers because I'll be following your advice.
Thank you.

I recently had one of my sales pages translated into German (http://www.makinggreatwine.com/wein.html) in order for me and my affiliates to be able to pursue that market. The search engines are gradually picking it up, and Google AdWords allows setting up campaigns for specific countries (i.e., German-speaking countries). I say you should go for it and test it out, otherwise you'll never know!

What exactly is your online business? Are you looking to get spanish speakers in the US or spanish speakers in the world?

I looked into data pertaining to spanish speakers and the internet and the statistics showed that very few hispanics in the US use the internet compared to other racial groups. If it's affordable then go ahead and do it, you're tapping into a really unsaturated market.

P.S. Contact me contacts who can translate for you I can get you my discount.

Check this report so you get a clearer understanding on the scope of Latino Internet usage (present and future). But understand that there is a huge difference between Internet usage by the young and the adults.

I went to your site and I am wondering if all the training materials are available in spanish as well. I didn't notice if they were while I was checking it out. If not would you have to translate the materials yourself for the Spanish speakers that are interested? I think if your website was in spanish, but no available materials it would be confusing and not worth while to the spanish public unless you were going to take translating the whole way. However, if they are, then yes translate your site! If you need help with translating tm me.

i've never thought of translating a website into another language in pursuance of that respective market. i know it may be a obvious move to some, but its a first for me. thanks for that precious gem of knowledge. added it to my mental collection of different ways to market a website to different (related) markets.

thanks

Thank you.
If you want to grab millions of dollars from Latinos, you should have your web site in spanish. But the deal does not stop here. After, you will need somebody to handle latino customers... Also you will need to learn the latino culture, so you can adapt your products or services to them.
Latino world is complex and growing dramatically.

Hope this helps.

Eduardo.
