This is possibly due to the fact that most programmers use the left side of their brain that allows them to work with programming code well, while designers tend to use the right side of the brain for creative purposes.

Julius, very nice design, very clean looking and great portfolio, I would love to work with you on some stuff, I have developed TagMerch.com and started a Hotel/Travel Reservation site, all dynamic, but because of an NDA, can not give a link.

Also on the HTML version of Julius Designs atleast, might want to consider decreasing the topmargin on the page to keep most of the copy above the fold, just a thought.
