Looking for exclusive products in your native country.

Hi, I hail from the tiny island of Singapore and I'm currently looking at importing foreign products that are not easily found in this region of south-east asia. Examples:
    1) Tibetian carpets
    2) Hawaiian handicrafts
    3) Traditional foodstuffs from different countries

Any product that can speak for itself (people can easily identify the country of origin) is welcome. e-mail me at jayrius_tan7@hotmail.com and put "Import" as the subject heading.

    NO SPAM PLEASE

    Thanks alot.

Well the only "unique" Australian products I know about are pouches made from kangaroo testicles. I've got no idea if that stuff sells overseas.

Try Canadian ice wines. Its basically made in the winter, when the temperature is cold enough that the liquids inside the grapes freeze over. They then harvest the grapes and extract the sweet juices from them and turn them into wine.

Not sure for the market in Singapore, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Thank you, but Canadian ice wines are already freely available in Singapore. As for the kangaroo pouch, could I know more about the product? Basically I'm looking for a product that is new to Singapore, I'm trying to get people attracted to other country's little interesting products.

    Thanks!

Kangaroo pouches don't exactly strike me as a top seller, but for most people the didgeridoo sums up Australia. Kangaroo and Koala products would also fit, but they're not as specific.

It's probably easier for people to suggest things for other countries rather than their own as if you live there those items don't seem so unusual!

e.g. if you think of Holland, it's clogs, windmills, tulips and cheese that come to mind. A Dutch person probably would say the sme things though.
