    Hey everyone...

I replied to this thread when crackah started it (nice idea btw) but i think my i got disconnected and it wasn't posted.

I'm busy working on 2 projects that will target an international/export market... am always keen to try something new. You keen to do this 'group' thing, or just one business. I would be a bit wary if it turns into a competition...

anyway - we'll see where this goes. I have a few ideas that may work; will give some more feedback soon...

Just out of curiousity, what happened to this thread and its plans? Ya'll need to regroup and focus on a single issue. Crackah, you had so many people involved and ready to rumble, dont let that momentum go, it might not come back.

    Hmm...
I just read through this whole thread, doesn't really seem like we got very far.
I think that the idea to connect foreign manufacturers with buyers is great in theory, but isn't that what Alibaba and countless others already do?
Also I don't think the "language barrier" is much of an object anymore for the same reason.
As Cameron says- a regroup is needed, along with a single issue.
CD Allen is also right about finding a solution to a problem.
Real Estate (in regards to foreclosures, etc) seems to be a huge issue lately, whet if we, somehow, got involved in real estate? Not sure how, but...what if?
    Ideas?

    Organization

Just joined bc of this thread...

1 thing I can clearly see is a lack of organization regarding even getting a brainstorming session together, and as CD mentioned not properlz addressing a NEED. I personally dont think every successful business is a UNIQUE solution to a problem, but def some kind of solution, or way to better a situation.

I think the grouping, not tournament, idea makes sense. Reason being u need to know who's who, and who does what in order to put these people together and get them at least talking...Granted business benefits from MANY various sources of contribution, but we are on a forum accessed by almost anyone.

Maybe listing what ur expertise and relative experience is can help get the process started, and help group people to get things going. Then groups will be formed and go from there...You cant just let anyone who is interested get thrown into a massive group and expect things to just take shape...Completing profiles are a big help too, but starting with some info would prob go a long way...

    That said..

Yeah. the thing I was really proposing is a brainstorming session, where we come up with problems, and find solutions to them.

Why should it be up to one person to propose a problem? why cant a group do it.

Im not saying 1 person, put not 30 either...Maybe 5 or so people is what I was thinking...Just seems more manageable and more likely to organize..Then call in the help of whoever/whatever service is needed to help execute...
Either way Im very interested, and sent u a pm with my contact info...

    I added you on msn.

Yeah, i was also thinking about 5 or so people. Get a forum going, and discuss some things.

Well me and crackah introduced ourselves today via msn, so at least thats something!

I know there's still interest out there for this, but where'd you all go?
We need to have some level of commitment in order to at least get the ball rolling.

The 1st thing I'd suggest is getting people talking to each other at least!

Then I'd suggest if no clear "best idea" is decided on (which is likely), then each person should ask people they know what are 5 things that would make your life better, more convient in some way (shopping, work, school, errands, product, etc)...You'd be surprised ot hear what simple ideas you can get from someone else's perspective...

That said we need some serious people at this point to motivate one another and get this thing moving...

^Yes, exactly. A unique problem and/or solution isn't required, but the venture MUST be built on the foundation of a problem-solution.

Well I've been tossing around an idea for a while now, which would def require someone with the ability to build a good website(failry complicated), and I'd need contacts all over the country to get it running and keep it running...I want to basically build a network for small businesses, the idea would be to get small businesses all over the country working with each other, buying products & utilizing services from other small businesses, offering it to each other at discounted prices. This would help bring them more business and growth, and at the same time help them combat against the huge retailers that often put them out of business. With the discounts they receive from each other, they can be more competitive with pricing, and obtain more customers....not to mention, the small businesses would be another avenue of paying customers as well..

But it needs some tweaking, and I need someone to help me beat the crap out of it to bring out all the possible flaws, as no idea is without flaws..

I'm kinda interested in seeing what everybody has to offer in terms of talents. Where are your specialties? Where and what type of work are you familiar with? What could you be used for and what do you have to offer to build a business. Like a short resume.
for exampe: I have a degree in Graphic Design and 3 yrs of experience
    -Bilingual: English/Spanish
    _I love Branding
_Strong interest in helping others reach their goals and potential
_I don't like door to door sales but I am good at it.

Someone one here suggested a Magazine. That would be a great opportunity to let people know that we are here and making business happen as well as promote ourselves for business. Not only that but I think we have enough variety in race, socialites, entertainment, ethics, and business to make it a magazine from a youngenter. point of view. And help motivate others.

I like the idea, it's kind of like free advertising for "us" youngent. I know that we have people on here that are great at marketing and selling ad spaces so income can get rolling, if we choose to go that route. Or we could make it a webmagazine thing. If anyone else is interested in this suggestion please post "your" ideas. I would love to brainstorm and conceptualize this idea further.
