sounds like a good idea. i was thinking of starting a fashion line (as some of you may have read, on my other posts) but have ran into a dead spot, no motivation, i feel like im in this all alone. haveing more people would definately help. just holla at how you feel at this lol its completely random, but just throwing out ideas.

Anyway, some quick additional comments:

This whole "Lets start a YE business..." idea, may seriously find some feedback sound around this forum. Nevertheless, and because I (personally) don’t want to move on with weak basis, I would like your comments regarding this:

1. 5 members: I don’t think a fixed number of members should be pre-defined. Depending on the project, maybe we will need only 2 or 3 start-up members, and later moving on with other partnerships, if that’s the case;

2. This "contest" idea, being entrepreneur inspired, must not let us move out of the primary goal, which is to develop a sustained business idea

3. Entrepreneur profiles: member election must be done with care. Multi faced profiles and wide scope of competences must prevail to, let’s say, several members having same knowledge

4. Opportunity selection: once we elect the initial membership (2/3 members), idea and/or projects analysis must follow: we can work on ideas of our own or third party ideas (in that case, idea mentor will be invited to join in OR work together with the group for development

5. Not being a must, I think all members should have a minimum profile: maturity (age?), motivations, professional experience,etc should be pre defined.

What say we have an MSN conference once a week or whatever? From what I know, 9.00 am in China is 11.00 am on the east coast of Australia and 9.00 pm on the east coast of the US. We could do this on a Saturday (Friday evening in the US) or a Sunday. What do you all say?

okey...I've been through this "community startup" thing when thebusinessexperiment.com was still around. same concept, except it got off the ground. at one stage, there were well over 6000 registered and 100 active users working for this "community sourced" startup called Askspace

anyway, I'd really encourage you guys to get in touch with the founder of thebusiness experiement, put him on a conference call and get some advice on how not to fuck this whole thing up
