IT Developer Looking For Great Idea

Im looking to partner with someone with a solid business mind who has a unique and intriguing web business idea. I have an IT consulting company with 3 programmers, a graphics designer, and a collocated hosting cluster (not hosting accounts, they’re my machines collocated at a datacenter…much better high volume performance)

I am willing to commit developer time, design time, and hosting to someone with a GREAT idea and the drive to see it through in exchange for an equity position.


Why am I doing this?:
1. To make money. I have to believe that there are some great ideas out there, this is my opportunity to leverage one of them
2. Much of my consultancy work to this point has been true IT work (virtual server development, software development, etc) and does not lend itself to portfolio inclusion. This endeavor should provide me with a mind-blowing portfolio reference.


Guidelines:
1. I steer clear of adult content sites. There is a lot of money to be made in the industry but because I do a lot of work for churches, it would cost me money in the long term.
2. When you send me your idea, please format it as a basic business plan. I’m not looking for something worthy of the Harvard Business Review, but enough to know that you have done your research.
3. Let me know if you need me to sign a non-disclosure or non-compete before you send me your business plan. I don’t have a problem with either and agree with the need for constant vigilance.
4. I intend to document the process of building this business on this site (without disclosing any sensitive information of course) and I hope you would be willing to do the same from your side.

Dates:
1. Send me your proposals by 01/15/07, either via PM, Post, or Email (jared@jallen.us)
2. I will make a decision selecting the winning concept by 01/31/07
3. Once the selection is made I intend quickly.

I have read your message and have sent you an email. Of course my idea inst in my initial e-mail. I will require the non-disclosure and non-compete agreements you offered before I will tell you my idea. Rest assured that if there ever was an idea worth looking into this it. With your existing infrastructure implementing this idea would be relatively easy. With my idea there is no limit to the amount of money we can make, the sky is the limit. I guarantee you that if you take the time to hear this idea you wont regret it.
