I'd have to agree with oldbuddy...

Will Yuwie overtake myspace? Maybe it will and maybe it won't. It definetely will not do so in the short term. However, Yuwie is innovating. Right now, they are trying to work on adding features like the facebook applications where you can have polls, games, and all that extra stuff. They are trying to make it a more fun site to hang around, you just have to be patient. It's still a new site, so you can't expect everything to be there for you right at the beginning.

Already, some of the users are making $100's per month off of it from what I'm seen and its growing rapidly every day.

But here's the potential...right now Yuwie is sitting at around 320,000 users...(up 80,000) since I joined four weeks ago. Just imagine if ever Yuwie cracks the 20 million mark...and you got in at the 320,000 mark. The opportunities are endless while there's no risk involved. I think it's only logical to at least give it a try.

Yuwie is not so different from Myspace. Yuwie is probably even worse. It's ad filter is so bad. The only reason why people are joining Yuwie is because of the compensation plan. Other than that, Yuwie doesn't stand a chance against Myspace. Myspace kicked Xanga's ass, it'll kick Yuwie's too.
Even so, I'm also a member of Yuwie.

Seems you get paid for every time you visit your profile, every time you bring people to your profile by changing something on there and for every referral, seems people are just going to keep on clicking everything to make that extra $0.10 which is a waste of money for advertisers.

Also, companies that advertise that site are losing out because most of the users of this site are overseas while they think their marketing to the American audience.

Yea it seems that people will only join to click on all the profiles. The concept sounds pretty good. Yuwie probably thinks that it could be as big or bigger than Myspace. So that means there will be lots of traffic. So advertisers will want to advertise there. There are hoping that by paying people to click around will have them join Yuwie and maybe leave Myspace. But Myspace has already establised itself so it would be difficult.

There are many sites now and there will continue to be more sites like Myspace and facebook that come out offering to pay its members. THe only members that will really join are all the network marketers that want to make money. Others who are just looking to have another profile to make new friends will hate all the advertisement.

I will make an example: Friendswin. Many people that I have seen on the site are ones that are marketers and promote their opportunites. So it looks more of a busienss social network rather than something like myspace. No one is gonna want to come there if all they'll see are people promoting their businesses, not that its bad.

Anyway I do not think anything will ever take out Myspace unless everyone all of a sudden becomes business minded and want to make money by doing that.

Well in order to even make that 10 cents you have to create i believe 1 thousand profile views, or 5 thousand. Good network marketers know that the real profit is made by building the downline.

I joined Yuwie a couple months ago. I didn't join for the money aspect of it, I just joined so I could meet some new people and explore new things. I'd say it's pretty cool for that part of it. I'm not sure if it's going to overtake Myspace though, you never know. It's still a pretty cool place to surf around in. There's lots of these social network sites that are coming out now, so we'll have to see.

Absolutely not...I'm a member of both and I really don't think Yuwie will ever catch up to MS.

hmm..i have signed up for it but haven't actually mingled yet. i don't think that yuwie will take over myspace just yet. they are bringing people in with the concept of 'pay per socialize'.
