Investment ideas? $10k to play with

Wow I was just about to start a thread like this.
I just wanted some ideas of something I can throw $10K into and then profit around $500 a month in.

Stocks are for sure an option but takes a lot of work and can be risky . Also I know my way around stocks but I am not sure it's secure and easy enough for the little profit I am looking for.

I am thinking of the buy low sell high theory with some kind of product I am not looking for much ($500 a month) so the less work i have to do the better!!

20% ROI a month is not too hard right?

20% ROI a month could be tough depending on how much your investment is. For example, making 20% ROI on $1mill every month would be tough.. but 20% on 1000 would not be. In your situation ($10k investment) I'm not sure how hard it will be.. buut from what your saying, your talking about 5% ROI, not 20%.

Well, I've seen this thread pop up waay more times than I'd like it to. My recommendation: Never take the advice of strangers over the advice of a friend. Ask your friends and family- what would they do with the money? Find someone in need, and help them out! Why do you think that so many successful people are some of the biggest philanthropists? It's been shown that giving encourages success- how I do not know... But- the moral of the story is- consider investing in someone else's success, and your own will come in due time, only tenfold.

Am a real estate agent & Broker here in spain, what we do is lend money to ppl for a period of time usually 5-6 months with and interest rates around 10%-11% in those six months, those contracts have Hypothecary guarantee and we resale it to Investors to a 8,7% (17,4% anually), we take care of all the paper work.

If you want to wait for 2 years, buy the Zimbabwean currency. When Mugabe is ousted, which is MAYBE within the next 2 years, you will increase your money exponentialy.

Its currently at around 17,000% inflation. When he leaves, it will change very quickly.

Or if you don't want to lock up the money in a CD, you can put it into an ING Savings account, it has a 4.5% interest rate which is crazy for savings... they also give you a $25 sign up bonus if I refer you ( not to mention $10 to me )
