To Answer your question, I had 3 businesses when I was 18. I waited until I was 18 to start these businesses to ensure that they were perfectly legal. I registered on primary holding company with my Federal, State, and Local governments, and received my Federal Tax ID so that I could legally become an employer. I know a number of young entrepreneurs in their teens that register businesses legally, and many that don't. The fact of the matter is, that they do not go around claiming that they are "Registered with the Inland Revenue, etc etc."
Back to the digits:
1. You claimed in your first post in this thread that you were a business owner and director. You stated that this adds to your credibility. When we requested proof, you stated that you could provide proof. In your last post, you mentioned
"how many teenagers do you know who have set up a REAL company, with Companies House. ie. Gone through the motions of filling in forms, replying to Inland Revenue regarding tax status, etc. etc."
This tells me that you lied in that post.
2. I did some research, and you appear to be 15 years old. Again, you can not legally, in any nation, sign any legally binding documents, meaning you couldn't even sign an NDA or promissary note, let alone accept a directorship position over any legally-established company. Again, in one of your previous posts, you stated that "I am done with college for this semester", when in other threads you plainly state that you are still in High School. Another Lie?
3. To answer another question that you posed towards me:
"But what are the chances you'll get your investment back in a month PLUS some profit? Unless you know a really great way to make money, its unlikely."
I do know a great way to make money. Work. I put my time in, 40-56 hours a week. I get a paycheck out. I take that paycheck that I slaved over, and use a part of it to pay bills, and use the remainder to re-invest into my agency. In your case, you are trying NOT to have to work... and at the age of 15, that shows me a very poor character trait. For those that want to start a business for $500- it is very simple. Find something that you like to do, register a sole proprietorship, and start doing it. Make some money, switch to an LLC or corporation, and make some more money. You DONT give your money to 15 year-olds that have never worked a day in their lives.
4. And last, but not least:
"Businesses require MARKETING, PRODUCTS, EQUIPMENT and the rest, which is likely to take most of your $$$, but then, as you're a consultant I'd have thought you may have some grasp of business knowledge."
Yes, businesses require those things, and they are necessary. Giving your money to someone else to spend isn't a business- It's philanthropy. Investing poorly and stupidly is not a business- it's gambling in its' lowest form. As a consultant, I do have a small grasp of business knowledge. That is why I ADVISE and not BEG. I am fairly young myself, and I don't claim to be some large, unending source of knowledge. The difference between myself and many other so-called entrepreneurs is that I don't care to work to further my goals, and I don't care to help others along the way. I learn all I can, and then I teach. I absorb information, and then I advise. Simple as that. In your case, I have no choice but to criticize, because you have not given me anything to absorb. You have not told us anything about what you are going to do, or how you are going to accomplish your goals. Think you can do it yourself? Why don't you? A smart business person doesn't have to depend on the piddly money of those around him. To quote a certain great author I know: "The Rich Make Money, the Poor Make Liabilities". You, my friend, are a walking liability. Want to change? We'd be glad to help. Otherwise, move on to the MySpace Business SpamForums- they will probably be much more suited to your tastes.

Er, I'm not trying to win anything here. I couldn't be bothered to read your whole post, paul2145r, as I know it will not make any good points.
But, for the record, I am allowed to legally have a company. There are no rules on the required age of directors or shareholders in a company. Added to this, I did not personally sign any documents. I know about that rule and had a company sign the documents for me, legally.
Also, I live IN THE UK. I go to Secondary School, as it is called here. I have just finished my GCSEs (they're exams, by the way) and don't have to return to school until September, when I start further education (otherwise known as A-Levels in the UK).
Finally, I DO work. I have a job. I use the income from that to fund my business ventures. Until recently, I had hardly spent any money buying things for myself. Instead I put it all (over $3500, in fact), into one of my businesses.
paul2145r - how can you call me a walking liability when you've never even met me? For over 2 years now, since I was 13, I have owned different businesses. I've bought and sold over 20 in total (once, I bought a business and a week later sold it again, making a 25% return). For the whole time I've had a job (not the same one) and have often put the money earned from my job back into a business. This year, I've also had to prepare for my exams, as well as working and running my businesses.
NOW, I REALISE IT WAS A MISTAKE TO POST THIS OFFER HERE AS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WOULD YIELD A NEGATIVE RESPONSE. OH, HOW IGNORANT OF ME!
If, instead of just having just negative responses, I had some honest questions I would have revealed a bit more about what I'd do with investor's money. But there is no point now. I'm not too worried anyway - it looks like I may just have made $700 or so profit from one person, within the space of 24 hours.

Well, good sir, if you had revealed any information that might make us believe that this was anything other than a scam, we may have been intrigued. Otherwise, all you have done is reinforced our knowledge that your claims had no substance.
I'm happy for you about the $700, I just simply hope that you will do the responsible thing and not squander that person's money. People work hard for their money-- it is not right for us to simply say "Oops, lost it, but I hope you understood that before you gave it to me."
I appologize if I got a little worked up over this thread- I get tweaked when I am lied to, and when I recognize that a person is up to no good. Whether or not you had a magic "Money" button- I don't care. The fact of the matter is, that's not "investing", that's not entrepreneurship, and it's wrong to label it as such. My advice to you, whether or not you'll listen to me, is learn to work. Wash dishes in a restaurant, work in a factory, dig a trench. Work Ethic isn't found in books.
Anyways, have fun guys, I'm done here. I have more important things to do than spend my time arguing with a 15 y/o know it all!

paul paul know it all ! not being sarcastic lol..paul is the man
Look, I think this argument is petty too. But I just want to add, before I go, that I what hard work is. Unless you didn't read my post, I have a job currently and have done since I was 13.
Also, I have not lied once in this thread. I can promise you that.
Forgot to add - the $700 I've got isn't from an investor. Its profit from my business. So I can do what I like with it, thanks.
240% return per annum sounded good, untill I got round to reading the whole thread.

You are better off going to SBA to get a low interest loan. Instead of a 20% return in a month you may only get 8 or 9% but even then with a lump sum loan from SBA you are talking more than recruiting from YE's here. Try SBA and in a month come back an tell us how stupid we are for not investing with you. And if it works then hey you can laugh your way to the bank. Untill then you are right nobody has trust... Nobody ever did....

Here is my okay website

Amazing. You claim to be in the right, yet you conduct your business without giving even a hint as to what the nature of that business is. It's too bad because I can clearly see for a 15 year old, you are quite articulate and probably pretty intelligent as well. However, you haven't the slightest bit of common sense when it comes to dealing with potential investors.
Even if I assume every single thing you have posted here is true, I would not do business with you. I'm sure the majority of savvy businesspeople would not either. You front a know-it-all, better-than-others attitude that is impervious to objective criticism, because you think you have it all figured out.
On a separate note, why would you borrow money at a rate of 20% a month? Wouldn't it be better to borrow from your parents or relatives if you have such a fundamentally sound business in the works? Why bother with taking on such risk? I realize these questions will not be answered and cannot be answered unless you share information about your business to us, but from an outsider's standpoint - it raises some eyebrows.
And yes, I'm glad you realize it was a huge mistake to post this here. Again, I will make the assumption that you are not being sarcastic. You SHOULD have known it would yield overwhelimingly negative responses. You promise a 20% return on investment, when you have little real experience, refuse to disclose information about your business, and dodge real questions directed to the nature of your plan.
Good luck Biospherical. I truly hope that you succeed with your business. I also hope that you change your attitude in the future and become more realistic. Real entrepreneurs approach criticism objectively, instead of emotionally. Take my words to heart, you won't regret it.

biospherical I agree with many of the others about some of the issues . However I like the idea that a youngster has the go to get started . i THINK YOU WILL PRODUCE WONDERS . Surely we as intelligent adults should not be putting thisyoungster down but to offer him some solid advice on how he can make his venture work . Yes he is inexperienced but we were all at that state . How many of us would have even thought of doing what he is doing . All of us want to succeed but does thst mean that we have to take his dream away . Let us help him achieve his dream . iT MIGHT NOT BE IN THE FORM IT IS NOW IN.but with some constructive help from us we can help him modify what he is trying to do to make it acceptable to us and others . he might make some changes with the suggestions from our collective experience . How many of us have what he has -some go . Please do take his dream away ! Biospherical don't let any one steal your dream . All of these people who have commented are experienced posters whith years of experience . If you asked for help on how you cou make this idea of yours m workable you might be surprised with the response . Thanks Ed
please don't take his dream away not the opposite as stated above . Thanks Ed
To be quite honest, the only way I know of making something like this would be the great field of Tax Liens. Tax Liens are a win-win situation and I've heard so many stories about how people made a great return on them... BUT, this guy says he can guarantee it in a month's time... assuming how tax lien sales/auctions are held every 6 months... this can't be possible.
Tax liens guarantee a good investment seeing how all your doing is paying off the backtaxes on a property for someone, then within' a reclaimation period, that person must pay you back what you paid PLUS interest. If they don't do so within' the reclaimation period, you can foreclose and own the property free and clear of any other liens or mortgages (assuming that there is nobody else at the foreclosue auction, you can make a bid for the backtaxes owed and the property becomes yours.) Even if somebody is bidding against you, you still get your money from the foreclosure profits to cover what you paid (plus interest.)
That's the only way... now is this what your doing BioSpherical? If not, then I don't believe any other idea would work effectively.
