    Question Ideas - You opinions please

    My dilemma:

    We had made this small company any way, because our school held its own little competition to look after the computer eg. turning them on/off printer problems and teaching staff in some programs, nothing to complex. Anyway we won the contract and it was then this Young enterprise scheme came up and our business teacher came to us and told us, we then sat down and thought we should do this again becuase we enjoyed it, so i took the core members form that group which i felt had the best qualities and we set about hiring our team for this new project we now have a team together with the following jobs;
    Marketing Director
    Production Director
    Finance Director
    IT Director (Webmaster)

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Customer Analyst
    Competition Analyst
    Media Marketing Analyst
    Head Designer
    Image Consultants
    Accountant
    Sales/Pricing Analyst
    Resource Manager
    Production Team
    Assisstant Webmaster
    well thats our team so we had a meeting with all of us there basically it was for myself and the directors to motivate them however with there being so many and it was after school (they dont pay much attention and mess around a bit after using their brains all day) so they never seem to be productive so any way we have come up with a solution - my self and the other four directors meet every monday and discuss various issues and then we present out ideas to the rest of the company on a friday, so we started to try and brain storm ideas the things we came up with were:
    T-Shirt design and printing (couldnt think of a way for good quality effecient printing or an alternative to printing)
    Bottled water (bottling up tap water and putting it in a fancy bottle selling it half retail price - yes it is legal 25% of bottled water in the Uk is originally from the tap!)
    Computer Accessories (mousemats, store devieices for cd etc)
    Dropshipping (we were concerned that it would really be worth the effort unless we found a really good product witha reliable supplier)
    Reselling (buying from wholesalers - dnt no how much money there is to make there though?)
    A school based "E-bay" like system however they could pay by cash/cheque and they wouldnt have to pay for delivery - we would let it open to out side buyers but initially publicise it around the school
    We have unlimited skills but limited ideas! We can produce the flash website but we cant think of ways to generate money, we also have alot of Arty people in our team
    If you can give any suggestions on anything please feel free to make suggestions
    We really want to create a business with massive potential no matter how hard the way to acheiving it is aslong as the possibility to expand is there
    Many Thanx
    Sounds like you got the team, now you just got to get the idea. You've put the cart before the horse
    I agree with Outta Hand, it looks like you need some direction before you truly start something. If you are restricting yourselves to these ideas, then try to think about which you, and the group are most passionate about.
    Good luck.
    I have to agree as well.
    Narrow down your focus and concentrate on that. As was mentioned, it seems as though you are putting the cart before the horse.
    Step back, review, and then move forward.
    Focus is a thing most people that go into business really lack. There is no way to truly succeed without focusing. Thanks for being in agreement on this guys!
