Smile I need money...what REALLY works?

I have been making money on the internet for some time. However, lately I find myself getting more lazy and starting to fall off track. My business (majority of it on Ebay) has been declining in sales and revenue as well. So I have been trying to find some good programs that I can make money off of. However, all the programs that "work" are usually complete rip offs. I need to know the honest opinion from some of you on what I should do. I want to know what really works and what would be a good opportunity for me.

I only want to invest around $500 right now as I want to stay safe. I have tried getting Ebay back to where it was but it just seems like it declines more and more over the years. I deal a little bit with websites and such and have a lot of experience so there aren't a lot of borders for me. I just want to solid tips on what to do and how to do it. Thanks!

    Don't Give Up Just Yet!

    Hey, stop it there!

You sound like you are thinking about giving up on your online dreams.
It happens to all of us. Just keep in mind that it takes time, determination and a lot of effort (at least at the beginning) for an online business, or any other business for that matter, to really make an impact. So, hold on.

I remember reading somewhere that people usually give up on their dreams, just right before when they are ready to hit it big. Can you believe that?

    One suggestion:

You are right about many of the so called "great business opportunities" on the net are nothing but waste of time and money. But many of them are really good and many offer a real opportunity to make money using your computer from home.

I started with an affiliate marketing program months ago because it allowed me to start with little money. I didn't want to risk much at the beginning, so I jumped right in. You know what? It works.

Of course it takes time again, but how good could a promise be to make you rich in a week?

Affiliate marketing programs, if you find a good one, are a sure way to bring a constant income to your bank account if you put the work. At least you already have the online experience and knowledge. So, try that, it could work for you.

Now if you are trying to make a fortune in a couple of months from now, well play the lottery then.

I am not becoming a millionaire overnight, but I am enjoying a steady check every month from my online business. And every month is getting bigger and bigger. Would that stop? Don't think so.

If you need additional info. or help, please feel free to contact me.
    Good Luck to you.

I appreciate your wariness on potential scams and can feel your pain on declining eBay revenues!

Although I sold products as an affiliate for many years (and still do), my income didn't really take off until I started creating my own products. Now I have affiliates promoting my products (which frees me up to create even more products

So, I think you may want to look into doing something similar... does it appeal to you and does it fit your situation/plan?

    Dear iAddict,

After years of hearing about ebay, a few months ago I decided to give it a try. But I found pretty much what you learned. It's declined too much to invest the time and money. Also I procrastinate and don't want to spend the whole day trying to make a dollar.

Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to put in the hard work if I'm convinced it will pay off eventually. Affiliate programs are a mixed bag. You won't make a lot on amazon.com - I've made a few hundred after years of being an affiliate. But there are certain programs that do work 'as advertised'. I promote some through my website habetis.com. Take a minute and see for yourself. Though I don't yet make thousands - I make hundreds of dollars in commissions everyday after a little marketing.

Maybe you don't want to join one of these programs. I can understand that. Why not sign up for a free website like mine (mine is a pro affiliate website but the free one is professional looking and allows you to promote whatever programs you choose - and there are many). It takes just minutes to set up and you can always upgrade later for a domain name, etc.

I'm not sure how it would be necessary to spend upwards to $500? I really do hope for your sake you don't get taken by any scam artist. If I were you I'd get an affiliate website promoting the most profitable programs on the Internet and put some of that into marketing your website through adsense!

    Peace,

    Martin

dude, i failed for years before I made it big online. Be prepared to do the same. You have to do something that works for you.

I know alot of the intermediate and guru marketers and they are the same. I hear all their bad stories first, because I ask and i find it intresting. But you should know that these guys are the ones at the top of their game earning over 300k per year.

But i think that old saying you have to hit rock bottom before you have the drive and determination sets in. And all these guys including me are living examples.

Hang in there and learn affiliate marketing techniques first. take constant action, and if you fail get back on the horse and learn not to do it again. Keep at it and keep that drive, get yourself a mentor and soon enough you will become successful as you want to be.

    good luck

To create your own products... spend some time in the warriors forum and see what type of products the guru's are selling/promoting. Create your own version (a book, a course, a product etc) with your own style. Grab someone from rentacoder if you need help and run with it.

Yes I know it takes failure and time. I have been going at it for about 3 years. I found a steady source of income on Ebay but it's nothing like it use to be. I have tried MANY things during those years and have failed at just about every single one and it doesn't bother me. I'm a big believer that it doesn't matter how many times you fail, as it only takes one time to succeed. But recently, I have less room to fail and invest so I'm trying to limit the failure. Thanks for the replies though, they have really helped.
