Has anyone here looked at Online poker or Poker Affiliates?

I recently have been talking with a friend from one of my engineering courses, he has moved to Melbourne to do a post graduate diploma in environment or something.

Anyway he told me that after doing some reading and research on playing poker (some f the statistics and tactics) he started playing about 3 months ago, In that time he has made 20 thousand dollars.
Which i know is just a ridiculous amount of money for someone to be making at our age, but by playing responsibly and learning the rules and ins and outs of the game he has turned what was initially a 75$ deposit into a little bit over 20k$

So that got me interested, I put it 25$ about 3 days ago and have now turned it into 75$ which is not as big an increase as James but it certainly is a start.

What i did was I signed up here:

    http://www.partypoker.com/index.htm?wm=2854258

I used the bonus code : BODALLA to get 25$ free on my first deposit.

The other sign up bonus code that was available was : BODALLA2 for 30% of your first deposit up to 150$ free.

The thing i have been learning is that in the early stages of playing poker on will make alot of money from that initial bonus, but after wards as your bankroll grows it gets easier to make higher amounts of money.

The program at this site has a play money area which is where i started to learn alot of the skills required and to play responsibly.
Its best to start playing very tight and always just fold the cards that you dont like. You improve your chances of winning greatly by on using good starting hands like kk, AA, QQ, JJ or AK, AQ..etc

There is alot of money to be made playing poker if one takes the time to learn and play responsibly. You can only lose as much as you put in. But now that James is going travelling an taking his laptop so he can play where ever he goes Im growing my bankroll so that I can join him. The other thing is they now have BPAY which makes withdrawing the money anytime so very easy.

    and of course:

There is the possiblity of becoming an affiliate for a poker site which is another part of what I do to make some money. Everytime you sign someone up you can either get 75$ per sign up of a Real Money Player (someone who deposits money) or 20-30% of their total rake over the lifetime of their account. There is big money to be made for doing very little, I have been making flyers and putting them in letter boxes to get non-internet people into it.
Whats even better is if you get sub-affiliates you get 20% from the poker site of what they get (not from their money), you dont however get any money from any sub-affiliates they get.
if you are interested in something like this and would love to talk strategy and business ideas email me: partypokeral@gmail.com

I understand the sigh-ing reaction to one of these types of posts but its actually a massive market which is worth looking at.

    thanks guys

Learn the rules of US online poker legislation and find YE's demographics. I can guess 70% of the traffic is from the US. Find me a legal online poker site, and I'll join

The affiliate program is separate from online gambling, I know about the laws in the states and I apologise for not checking out this sites demographic before posting here.

There is no free money with the affiliate program, for every person you sign up you get money and if you sign up sub-affiliates you get 20% of what they earn from party partners.

Its a good system which can make decent dollars for little work.
I have signed up 16 people and accumulated 1350$

I would love to sign up some sub-affiliates and exchange ideas with you guys and go on to make more, i would love to not have to spend my life selling my time. Then perhaps I could dedicate my life to things i'm into like humour and comedy.

    regards,

    Al
