CandleSue, I think you should consider optimizing your website for sales before you consider serious marketing. If you need any help with it, PM me.

I agree with Joe, hire a graphics designer to redesign the website and your sales will increase even more so.

Agreed, spend some of your record profits on a new web page. I like that you are thinking big and apparently beginning a larger distribution. But, because of that, it would also behoove you to have a good logo designed for you. Best of luck.

Actually, Sue, I would be interested in hearing how you make good sales as well. I don't plan on selling candles, but your success would definitely be worth learning about.

    Thanks

I have had to learn to be a walking/talking bulletin board. Look around you every big business has their ads/company name in our line of sight all day.

Wear clothing with your web site, give business cards to everyone, look for bulletin boards where you can post a flyer, say hello to each person you pass on the street, in the mall, while standing in line at the store talk to the person behind you (it makes the waiting go much faster) don't assume they would not need your service/product; they may not but they may know someone who does, don't do all your ads on the internet some people still do read newspapers. Your car is a 24/7 advertising bulletin board (unless you park in a garage), have a magnetic and/or car ID it tag with your web site.
There is no magic thing to do, its a numbers thing the more people who find your ads/business cards/talk to you the more customers.

So next time you are buying clothes look - you are paying to advertise for those companies (if they have the companies name or logo on them), why not
have your web site on your shirt/tie/baseball hat?

    Hope these suggesstions help.

Heh, thanks Susan. That is good advice. Where do you get items like a magnet for the car printed?

    Thanks again.

This guy on ebay sells printing services. I should be getting my signs from him this week, here is a link:

I actually made mine with a color flyer and a flexible magnetic frame and a vehicle business card holder. I have to take it off the car while driving because it is not heavy enough to hold my business cards while I drive. But it allows me to move the sign to the best place on the car, depending on where I am parked and it works.

I will most likely get 2 larger one's printed at my local printer.

I spent 1 second, literally, at your webpage.

I have read the discussion here, seems interesting.

But Sue, the first thing you need to do is revamp the website.

Is your web address on the business cards you hand out? Is it on your car? Do you use your website for customer interaction?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need to fix the website ASAP. It hurts to look at it. No customer would stay and investigate a site like that.

Good luck in the future, that's my $.02.

Thanks for your input. I made some changes to the web site, it
its not looking to good. If each of you could
give me a web site you have designed, I will think about using you
    to fix my mess.

    Thanks for your advice.
