    Gaming/PC Repair

I feel that a LAN Center/PC Repair business would be a great business to start. The fact that with just the LAN Center you would be struggling for revenue because of the cost of computers and upgrades, you could bring in a PC Repair business to bring in extra revenue. Also a great idea to add to this would be to offer a small snack stand and a room that people can just hang around in. If you keep them in your store they will probably be buying food. Along with the PC Repair business you can sell small things like mice, keyboards, mouse pads, headphones on the side for gamers that are there. Give a option of wireless internet at a small fee per month maybe to access the wireless. Many options could be thrown in to this type of business. Professional Gaming is definitely on the rise, a lot of these LAN centers have close but most due to poor poor marketing, area's and just no knowledge of what a gamer wants. Any thoughts on this type of business. Discuss.....

Exactly, I have been to a few and most owners just do not know what they should be doing. I think the number one thing that makes these businesses fail is due to no marketing plan. I never see any advertisements for these places, its always a Google search or yellow pages. Its also known that gaming is a huge market, it just keeps growing.

You could go one step further and personalise the mice, mats etc.....I know alot of gamers that would like their handle on their on equipment. Then you could charge whatever you wanted and make you stand out from the local pc shop.

interevo, has the right idea. My friends mouse is personalize like a hand gun. he pull the trigger and it clicks. My keyboard was repainted, specifily to match my tower. Ghost flames. I payed 75$, knowing the equipment to do it myself only cost around 40. I just didnt have the time.

Very good ideas, people do love custom things and that would definitely bring in more revenue. Awesome idea.
