    Dear Mr. Scott,

In my point of view, your forum don't cost US$700. In order to obtain this kind of design is not tough. Even my forum looks more colourful. Furthermore, the total post is less than 2000.
Anyway, it is just my point of view. No offence intended. I just think that it don't worth $700. Perhaps, a lower price.
I have yet to be a billionaire but will be very soon.

Tell you what, rather than scott give you $300 why dont you buy it off scott for $400 hahaha.

No seriously, i know how hard forums are to get up and running and always recieve traffic and content, this site has that and a good number of members.

But is it worth $700, i suppose its worth that in the right hands, im interested to see who will pay it.

Yes, Mr. Nochance, I agree with you. Actually his forum is not too bad. Consider good. I think he can find buyers. However, I still find that $700 is a bit steep.

I will bid -700 dollars, becaues the opportunity costs of me running that site is very high. So I will bid that you pay me 700 dollars and I will have your site?

If you seriously want people to buy your site, go to sitepoint. Most people here, or at least myself, would find it more enjoyable to start their own forums

In the name of defiance ...

I am making this post specifically because Scott said that no one else should provide input. This is a forum little guy, not an auction site.

Scott, I have read through your posts before, and have, in the past, been impressed with the way you present yourself. You claim to be “one of the most successful entrepreneurs worldwide”, which is a ballsy claim and just cocky enough to make you likable. With this particular thread though, you have made several key mistakes.

    1. You have obviously tired of running your Digg forum site. Don’t let people here know that. Go find a mentor, find new passion in the project, or sell it on eBay. Don’t come to a site where you proclaim to be a world class entrepreneur, and try to sell a second rate site for $700. It is all about image my friend, and this thread has tarnished yours.

    2. Don’t get defensive and vulgar when people criticize you. Even if they are in the wrong, you need to be more confident in yourself. There is no need to retaliate in such a harsh way. Be grateful they took the time to post. Their contribution bumped your thread up one more position. When you get mad and take things personal, you get sloppy. This is evident in your posts. You used the word “no” when you meant to use “know”. You let your temper get the best of you. Let it roll off next time man. Be more professional. Protect your image!

If you ever need a mentor, or even encouragement, email me. I will cheer you on, and tell it to you straight.

I dont know if yours is on there but there's some that look more impressive than yours on there... They're free. And Scott, note that this is on the phpBB website itself.
phpBB is not a *bad* forum, but it's not that impressive. There's a reason vBulletin costs $160 as opposed to the free phpBB.
And lastly... Who are you one to correct people's grammer and spelling? When I'm typing in a forum I'm not overly concerned with my spelling or fixing all the typos; it's not that serious.

It makes him likeable?? I personally hate cockyness, and claiming that you are one of the most successful entrepreneurs is a pathetic claim - unless you actually are.

That also pisses me off too :P Stick to the arguement, not spelling. Also one pointer, "exhange" has a c in in. (haha sorry i had too...)

It would be much better to start a new forum, that use that one. Save 700 bucks. Pay for a new domain ($10) and 1 month of hosting ($5) and you have the same thing. Half of the posts on digg fans is by you. Go to sitepoint and try to sell it

No no no, show profits and you will get more attention. You can sell a website without saying the traffic and profit figures.
