Community marketing program

Youtube.com, myspace.com, deviantart.com. Who's next?

ETA Media is an alternative marketing company specializing in online community marketing. We are currently building a network of art related community sites. Those of you who know the marketing potential of owning a large community may be interested in our new program.

BUILD YOUR OWN COMMUNITY.
ETA Media Community Marketeer Program

A community is built around a point of interest. That interest could be sports, art, cars, collectibles, weapons, clothing, a product - you get the idea. There are probably as many areas of interest as there are people who will read this post.

We are looking for people who have a great idea for building the next great visual community. Our community builder application is being used to promote products like Adobe Illustrator (www.illustratorworld.com) - and we want to give you the chance to build your community with the same application.

1) Take a look at www.illustratorworld.com
2) If you can think of ways you could make money on a site like IW (if YOU owned it or a site similar to it), then we'd like you to contact us.
3) We're excepting pitches for the next month. Tell us about your idea for a new community site. If we accept your pitch then
4) You can either purchase the community builder application from us and own your site outright, or, depending on the strength of your idea, we'll build your community for a percentage of the revenues. It's your choice.

Either way, you'll become part of our elite community marketing think tank and we'll work together to explore community marketing techniques.

Nothing better than a warm market with built in traffic and an audience that is passionate a product, person or place! THAT's community markeing. So if you think you have the new age marketing smarts to create the next myspace or youtube.com, contact us ASAP. Send all concepts or pitches to toddm@etamedia.com.

Todd, welcome. I see you're a fan of hyperbole. That's great. I love what you're doing. I work for a social networking shop.

Sure, social networking software has been used by companies like Nike, on campaigns like Joga as a complementary option to their direct marketing efforts.

It doesn't costs much to set up similar websites. People can just go to http://me.com/_snapp/ or http://www.phpfox.com/

How much do charge for your software?

Hey Akula-

I had to include some hype with the post - especially since our opportunity isn't one of those "make $1000.00 while you sleep" deals, but rather an actual excercise in community marketing.

I don't think we had heard of the me.com app, but we love phpfox. Great product. In fact we're thinking of using it for several of the sites in our network. Our software is for a very targeted, visual community. Phpfox is not focused on the gallery feature like our app is, but has other advantages.

Our app is more expensive. But as I mentioned, if people have great ideas and are willing to put time and effort into building their ideas - we'd allow them to use the software for other considerations (use of ad space and/or percentage of revenue).

I would love to get together with all the community marketing folks here on YE. See what other people are doing - test theories etc.

I should add that we've built our app with various e-commerce features in mind. Several levels of membership, for example. The first, free level allows a feature set. The next level allows you to use additional features and so on. We're currently adding additional features for the high membership levels.

Got ideas? Let us know. We'll show you ours, if you show us yours (ideas that is).
