    Janise O’Leandros
    (Full resume upon request)
Janise spent most of her professional career in the
arts and finance. During 2003, while on a business
trip to New York, Janise was approached to create her
own line of fashion accessories based on her original
oil paintings. Upon arrival home, she began designing
her own handbags and couture collection with some
sketches of classic lines and artwork. After twenty -
four months of research and development on various
leathers, fabrics, printing and manufactures, Janise,
    formed Nascita International.
In spring 2005, Nascita International was asked to be
among 30 merchants who donated products, services and
gift certificates for the LEO AWARDS, a celebration of
excellence in British Columbia film and television.
In September, 2005, at STUDIO 30 during NEW YORK
FASHION WEEK, Janise O’Leandros collaborated with Maja
Stace- Smith, to produce a spring 2006 collection of
couture fashion. This received a standing ovation.
The collection was the opening show for Versace during
Vancouver Fashion week in October 2005. Backstage
interviews were given to Korea Fashion, Georgia
Straight magazine, Yale Town Magazine and Vancouver
View Magazine. Skyy High fashion magazine will feature
select pieces in a four page fashion spread for their
    December issue.

After seeing the colourful collection go down the
catwalk during BC FASHION WEEK, Fashion Watch (TV)
demanded an interview as they have never seen such a
    collaboration of art and design.
