    Question Business without any experience

I joined this site today. Basically I am a job seeker. I do not have any experience of business. Is there any chance for me to start any online business. If yes, what initiatives are to be taken?

For less investment, online business is the way to go. I mean most of the young entrepreneurs are running online businesses based on affiliate and adveritising. I started my online business after getting inspired by some of the members of this forum. I mean please buzz if I can be of any help.

while an online business is a great way to go, i'm doing it myself... there are other options. the thing about online business is that in order to build a quality website and market it, you most likely need outside help or partners that know their way around the internet. you can learn it for sure, but you have no competitive edge.

another general idea for an offline business is to act as a middleman between a small supplier and a underserved market.

for example, if you are interested in web stuff - maybe consider being a middleman or contractor between small web development/design companies and small local businesses. many small businesses such as sandwich shops, mom and pop shops, have no idea about the internet and how it can help them grow their business. many small web dev/design companies are finding it difficult to compete with larger companies for large client business, so may concentrate on small mom/pop shops to bring home some income.

if you become a middle man, you connect the two parties - either through offline business activity or online marketing activity. thus, you have no overhead costs, no labor costs, and you get commission or a margin that YOU set that is between your wholesale cost and your retail cost to the customer.

this "middleman" concept is applicable to other businesses as well, I ran a t-shirt company in college doing the same thing - connecting a t-shirt printer with school clubs/organizations - i had no inventory costs, overhead costs, i made money as i made sales.

if you have an idea, definitely run it by my website - www.gen-y.org - which is dedicated to helping young entrepreneurs like you to develop your business ideas, by providing expert feeback and community support.

    good luck
