Maybe I'm missing something, but why does a site like Photomax need anything to do with MLM?

Photomax and MLM

Glad you asked that question....Here's how it works. You become a distributor for $250.00...for that money you get training DVD's and coupons to the photomax sight, and a digitial developer..this package is worth $450.00. Ok...next, you buy four of these distributor kits and sell them for $250.00 to four of your friends. Are you with me? They sell 4 kits to four of their friends...you make 5% off all the sales of these kits. You then direct friends and family to the photomax sight under your name, of which you have your own websight area to Photomax. You also get 5% of anything and everything they buy offline. And the stuff to buy on that sight is tremendous. Once you become an executive, I can explain that later, you will receive 12-15% of all sales..that includes sales from distributor kits and purchases off the websight.
As you can see you DON'T need a lot of money to start a business. And believe me, this thing is going to take off.
We had our product launch here in Salt Lake City this weekend and it was a very big deal.
THIS IS AN OPPROTUNITY TO GET ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF AN MLM...AND YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THOSE TOP FOLKS MAKE IN COMPANIES LIKE MARY KAY AND AMWAY.
This is better...no product to buy, sell or take up room in your garage. Photomax does it all for you.
Any more questions I can answer?
Think about it...WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE...except your 9-5 job!!

Maybe I wasn't clear in my first question.

Photomax seems to be a site directed to the end user. From what I gather, I can sign up and upload my photo's, share them with friends, and even have prints made of my digital photo's.

Where does the need for training DVD's, powerpoint presentations, and distributor kits come into that? Can the general public not use Photomax, only resellers and the resellers have their own site that works through Photomax?

D.

re: photomax

Yes, it can be used by the general public. But, Nuskin set part of the photomax business up as an MLM. If you want to make some very quick and easy money you become a distributer. I know it sounds odd, but it works. We know. Nuskin has 3 divisions of MLM's...big planet, pharmanex and nuskin. Which are all multi billion companies. They have devised a new division marketing the digital arena. The fastest up and coming sales on the internet. Did you know that Shutterfly has some 500,000 hits in one month!! Yes anyone can go to Photomax, but would'nt you rather drive folks there and make money from their purchases! If you would like more info I can send you some or you can go to photopup.com and listen to the opprotunity message.

re: article

I appreciate your input, but NUSKIN is a very solid, billion dollar company...they have stock on the NYSE. What have you got to lose...a couple hundred dollars?
Go ahead and invest thousands of dollars in obscure companies, go ahead and get loans for thousands of dollars for your business...Again, what have you got to lose?????

Not to play devils advocate, but having stock does not mean legit. Take a look at Enron, they were a billion dollar company with stock.

re: stock

Yes you're right. But they've been going strong for 20 years. I guess all empires could fall.

I've read this thread and it sounds just like those terrible business infomericals you see every midnight. It's a general "opportunity of a lifetime". And other than losing the several hundred bucks you'll waste a ton of time and energy. But you could be one of the 1 in a 1,000,000 that you see in the fine print on those infomericals and become a spokesperson.

"Not only did I get to quit my dayjob, but one day I went outside to check the mail, and there was $70,000 in sorted stacks of $100 bills. And all I had to do was tell my friends about Blah Co. I got this kit in the mail inside of a cool blue folder. I really like blue. It was like I spent the time getting my MBA, running a venture for several years, and understanding the thousands of different skills and abilities needed to successfully operate a company and live a wealthy lifestyle, all in a pretty blue folder."

If there was so much potential in this photo market Epson would be bankrupt and Apple would be making billions off of all the people ordering prints from iPhoto. But it's not happening and it never will.

MLM is a morally corrupt business model. Just because the company is "going strong" or has stock means absolutely nothing. It amazes me that the business model here seems to be selling distributorships.

How can the Enron executives sleep at night knowing that they bankrupted thousands of retirees?

If people spent half their energy or entrepreneurial gifts at CREATING something instead of being a PARASITE I believe that the business world would be a healthier mor uplifting place.

Mary, this is not a personal attack. I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go round. If this is your bliss go for it.

My two cents
