anyone have a blog and want to exchange blogroll links (i use wordpress which makes link exchanges nice and easy)? i have not exchanged links with anyone yet, but i figure it will help my SEO with some search engines to have more incoming links...

exchanging links places your link on every single page of the blog. my site is usedshoe.com . I get about 400-600 hits a day now and i've started the blog about 2 months ago. i have a little over 100 posts as of right now so that would be 100+ incoming links to your site. if you're interested and your site has somewhat comparable stats PM. i'd like to exchange links with about 5 people and hopefully have 500+ incoming links to my site.
Please only PM me if you are active in writing new posts for your blog, because i try to add 2-4 posts per day which would be 2-4 new incoming links to your site per day so i'd like the same reciprocated.

yes, it is only 2 months old. i submit a lot of my entries to digg so wouldn't that be considered a backlink to the site? (the links are to my specific posts on my site and not the homepage)

i think the problem is my homepage is really www.usedshoe.com/wordpress2 and not www.usedshoe.com (i have a redirect script that forwards people to the wordpress address). i had some issues when i was first setting up the site and this is the reason behind that. i'll have to change it.

I read that earlier but I refrained from mentioning anything, but now I can't help myself, lol. Its 100 links, but they are all coming from the same domain. So as far as Search Engine Optimization is concerned, I believe that it would be just as good as having one link, right?

That is not baloney. Each page of the blog has its own specific URL. When you look use one of those "incoming link" sites to check the number of incoming links, it counts the number of links from each URL address. I know this is a fact because I was going to buy a domain name on Ebay that had 1,500 incoming links. I used the "incoming links" checker and it showed me the reason the domain had 1,500 incoming links was because it had a link on the sidebar of a message board, and each static page counted as one incoming link.

this is also why they prolly say it is very important to make sure you have all the pages on your site linking to each other to maximize SEO.

personally i don't think it will make a difference to any of our blogs... and when you say increase SEO... what do you mean? by linking to everyone's blogs here on the forum I do not think you would get very targeted traffic to say the least... or any relevant SEO... I think you should contact google and find out what they have to say about that
