Best Idea for a Subscription Site?

what do you think the best idea for a subscription site would be?

if you can sign up 10,000 who will pay $3 per month you are going to make some good money.

the million dollar question is what kind of site would people be willing to subscribe to?

any ideas?

i'm not changing the celebrity feuds site simply because 1. i dont have the knowledge of how to do it myself 2. i like the way it looks.

the pages are static so i rarely need to edit anything (and adding a new feud takes me literally 30 seconds of actual website work so it is a non-issue). plus, i think the site serves its purpose as an easy to navigate informational site. i may have taken the long/hard road to creating it but i like the outcome.

i am working on creating another site and i am having someone build it using Joomla. it is coming out very nice and when the site is complete i'll post about it on here.

subscription websites are a really hard sale. To reach a decent revenue level, you either need to be extremely patient or have a decent size marketing budget. Not to mention you also need something that people will be willing to spend money on. These days a lot of stuff can just be found for free.

If you pick a market as above, there is a huge amount of competition, so that makes it more difficult in that regard.

i agree that a subscription site is a hard market to break into, and i agree porn is already saturated.
i was thinking of something more of a niche subscription site where maybe i can cater to a small target market which may be being neglected.

one general idea i had is to offer a subscription site that is based on finding good sales or pricing errors on websites. i know there are many free websites that do this, but the problem with these websites are when somebody posts a pricing mistake within 3 hours you have 50,000 views and so masses of people bombard the site and order it and the site recognizes this and cancels all the orders. once in a while the site won't recognize it and your order slips by.

as an example, in a message board someone posted an error when a coupon that was supposed to take $10 off a purchase off $40 or more was actually taking $40 off a purchase of $40 or more (so you would get $40 worth of stuff for free and just pay $5 for shipping). i put in 4 orders and they all went through, the stuff has shipped already, so i got $160 worth of stuff for $20. but the website caught the mistake after a few hours and corrected it (though they didnt cancel my order) so all the people who viewed the thread after this didn't get the deal. if this was posted on a subscription site where there would have only been 5,000-10,000 views then maybe it would not have sent red flags to the website that something was wrong.
for something like this, i would have paid someone $10 to give me the information about the price mistake (even though i got it for free) because i saved $160, so if i charge people $5/month but they are literally saving 100, 200, 1000, or more then isn't it worth it?

i dont know, just food for thought.

I don't know about $3.00 but I do know one that is $9.00. The site I'm speaking of will cost a person only $9.00 and you will make 7 of those 9. All you need do is advertise your site. There is a lot of training associated with this site. I mean you are not in the dark and there is live training, support and calls throughout the week to help you be successful.
